Friendly staff , beautiful land lady , me and the lads love this pub

Honestly the worst experience I have had. We ordered at 1pm and didn't get our starters until 1.50pm. on top of that, the calamari had a hair in it. Worst run establishment I've ever been to.

Great service and a lovely Sunday roast

We chose The Cricketers for my mum's funeral wake last week and we are glad that we did. Hannah was very helpful with the arrangements as the numbers increased. We chose a number of items for the buffet from a set list. The food was of a high standard, delicious and there was plenty to go around. Thanks to Hannah and the team for being so understanding and helpful.

Excellent veggie options. Which surprised me because most of the people I see going in here remember old money. I had a lifestyle compliant burger which was sloppy and tasty. My life partner had a wrap and she/her mistook a spicy chutney for salsa. Her reaction was violent and attention grabbing. Staff intervened. Fun visit, all things considered.

One star knocked off because there was confusion as to whether we could get a table, there was confusion as to whether a booking was needed - luckily we asked more than one member of staff and got seated or else we'd have left. But it was good we stayed as the chicken & beef burgers were nicely done, and I'll be happy to go back for another. We'll try and plan better so we book a table in the garden area or one of the booths outside which looked really nice.
