The Lock Bar and Kitchen in Runnymede

This is the second restaurant at the Runnymede hotel, located overlooking Bell Weir Lock. When we visited in December 2021 we enjoyed a fantastic high tea. The staff were fabulous and helpful, consistent with our entire Runnymede hotel experience. The Lock has an area for dining overlooking the river, and a more casual lounge area. Plus an outdoor area for summer. Thank you to all the staff for a fantastic experience.

We are a party of four school friends and attended the Loch bar for our first reunion in two years.The fish was fresh and beautifully cooked. The service was wonderful.We intend to return sooner, rather than later.Thank you Runnymede for making our reunion so very special.

Ate here as part of a stay at the hotel - lovely food, great portion size. I had the beef rib and it was absolutely delicious. The crumble was lovely too.Only suggestion for better service would be prompter removal of plates from previous courses - but this is nitpicking!

Super experience with lovely staff, beautiful setting and yummy sandwiches, scones and cakes. They serve vegan tea too 😋

Quite a nice meal smoked salmon ,tasty steak chips where very good pepper sauce artificial!! And salad n onions cheese cake was nice though granular like previously frozen overall pleasant staf very good thank you

Had a lovely lunch here recently with my family. I had the pie and it was delicious! The service was brilliant, they were extremely accommodating and the food matched it. Everyone in our party was very impressed. Portion sizes are large as well!

Lovely place to come and eat, proabably the best service I have ever had! The fish & chips is a amazing!!

Absolutely delicious! Unfortunately the M25 is a bit loud for sitting outside. Fortunately inside is lovely!

Went to the Lock Bar & Grill on Thursday 8th May 2015 after a great experience in 2012,But alas the food presentation standard has dropped significantly the food seemed to be just thrown on the plate no presentation what so ever!The waitress was also wearing a dirty Tshirt that was a little off putting...Come on Runnymede get your high standard back!
