An absolute gem of a pub!!With a fantastic garden for kids and family's to enjoy with a massive selection of food what more can you ask for, We went there about two weeks ago as a family for my grandfathers birthday and reserved a table but he was unable to get into the tight space due to him having problems with his knees and back. Without a problem the staff ran around to find another suitable sitting location and told us the kitchen was due to open at midday (think it was a sunday) and that in the mean time we can feel free to order and drink and food now but to food wont be with us untill after 12!With the upfront and honesty from the staff we stayed and did just that with my little girl running around this wasnt a problem and the staff interacted with her very well and treated us all with respect which is a hard to find and rare thing these daysSo thank you and i look forward to coming back again soon.

Booked online and was contacted on the day of the booking to say they had no chef after 5pm. Booking was cancelled as it would have been too early to eat as going with friends. Rebooked for the following Wednesday. On the Wednesday got another phone call to say kitchen closing at 5 so booked elsewhere and had a lovely meal. Will not be going back. Got promised manager would call but never happened.

Use to a lovely place to eat. But last few weeks of trying to get some dinner the kitchen has been closed even though there is customers eating and it not exactly busy have been refused. Also to mention the staff seem clueless as to what time the kitchen is closed because of you ring they say it’s open till 8 and arrive at 7 to be told it shut and on website tells you 10!!!!! Avoid unless you arrive for breakfast can’t even guarantee that maybe a pic on a door if your lucky

Disastrous from start to finish.I booked a table for Sunday lunch and fair enough was informed that it would be busy afternoon. However we got there early in the afternoon and there is no one to greet you, everyone just seemed to run around and it wasn't even busy.So we stood in line to the bar where barmaid was huffin and puffin over fact that she had to work on a Sunday, apparently she was called in to cover (do we care, I'm sorry but no)?We were finally informed where our table was but followed by disappointing news that beers on tap aren't available because they ran out of gas, ok I can understand it happens. We then ordered the Sunday roast specials, after an hour they were delivered. The sides were the same on all... bland, tasteless peas and carrots, rubber mash potatoes and tennis balls of roasted potatoes. All served in a large yorkshire pudding which was as hard as a cardboard. And the meat... chicken was half (microwaved) done, you could tell it was undercooked, white, pale and tasteless. Beef was ok. And goats cheese roulade, while okay-ish, a tiny slice...No gravy was served or it was forgotten, so we had to wait for that to be delivered by staff who looked like deer looking at headlights when asked about it.After hearing the neighbouring table complaining that they only received half of their order after more than an hour of waiting... you knew it was time to leave. The only good thing was that we paid in advance as there is no table ordering so we could leave straight away. The food was so awful I couldn't even stomach taking a picture of it.It's a shame because the inside is done so it suggests a nice place, e.g. art deco posters but that's about it.Children's playground could use a little bit of love too.I actually felt pity for people ordering after us.

Booked for breakfast as wanted a particular table. Booking taken but when we arived it was shut! We hung about for 10 minutes then left and went to the George in staines where we had a lovely breakfast. What is the point of taking our number if you don't use it?

Nice service, food ok, there was 9 of us, and food came out more or less at same time. People serving had s smile, but feel there should have been more staff as very busy.

Great food and drinks quality. Food and drinks are very nicely presented. Very good value for money. A friendly service in pleasant and relaxing surroundings.

I’ve been coming here from time-to-time over the last 5/6 years, this is my first visit since the recent refurbishment and I have to say they’ve done a great job with the decor and seating, much nicer than I remember it being. It was mid-evening on a Sunday and much quieter than I would of expected. The menu is what I would describe as “explosive” - it takes quite a while to digest as everything is trying to catch your attention. Deals for this, deals on that etc. It all appears like they’re doing you a favour whatever you chose. Our two meals along with a drink each actually came to around £34, which for what we received…is a bit steep.I understand this is a budget pub, but neither of us where overly impressed with the quality of the food and that’s got to be a certain standard as a minimum no matter how bargain-tastic somewhere is trying to be. My steak was “ok” for Rump but the extra chicken skewer was “mushy” - like it had been very quickly defrosted. Our rice was a little odd too. Like the menu, the food looks better in my pics than it actually was!I think if we were to return the 2 -meals for £13 (I think that was the price..) is what we’d go for as then the price Vs quality stacks up.Service was good, toilets tidy and clean aside from a bit of toilet paper on the floor.

Had a booking for 4 people which I needed to change to 5 half way through the day which they had no problem helping me do this at short notice. We had 5 main courses and drinks which were all great standard for the price and there want a long wait either. Great atmosphere and great staff.A certain few staff were annoyed and frustrated by working in general I'm guessing as they seemed short staffed and overworked which was a given when I worked for greene king so can't knock them for it... 😂Overall great experience.

I wish this was a one off experience but this has happened a few times now and we're never going back!We came here for my birthday. Being a hot summer day it was busy. We ordered the food by the app as advised. Starter came before the drinks so looked promising. Then the mains, I asked for my steak to be medium rare with a side salad. It came well done so I asked for another. They must of put my salad on the hot plate while they cooked me another steak because it came back hot and mush. The steak came back raw. Waited an hour and half for pudding, left before it arrived. Saddest birthday meal.
