Big Fry Fish and Chips in Rushmoor

Average chippy, the staff are nice, but the chips aren't great. Thoroughly recommend going a bit further to Frimley Green because Silver Sea is for sure the best in the area.

1. Person who cooked my fish had no gloves and picked up and battered with bare hands.2. Got home and found out that chips were stone cold.3. Had bones in fish. Picture to evidence.Will not recommend at all.

Large cod chips and mushy peas. Chips and peas were ok but my large cod was another story, obviously recooked the fish was dull and completely dry a very dark brown batter, all for over £12. What happened to golden batter and moist fish. Extremely disappointed

Hi we had our first visit to Big Fry today, called through to order 2 large gluten free cod n chips , when just leaving Portsmouth.We will definitely be returning, the food was gorgeous, the fish was delicious. The shop was extremely clean. You definitely deserve the 5 stars...

Popular take-away, always lots of customers outside. Food really nice and fresh; fish was super lovely as were the chips. Happy to do Gluten Free on a Monday and Tuesday. Not sure why so many bad reviews, food was fab?

Jumbo cod and chips was really nice and a really good size. Good crispy batter and not greasy and the cod was nice and thick and chips was good too. Food was nice and hot from deliveroo and on time. Update. Ordered again this week and the fish n chips was really good quality and jumbo cod was BIG. 👍

Very nice fish & chips, however portion sizes are very small.Additional; two years after original review this is now the size of their £3 large chips!

Went to this fish and chips shop earlier today. I’m not local to the area but was working nearby. I ordered small chips, chicken and mushroom pie and a pot of beans. The chips tasted like they where old, the pastry of the pie was hard and the beans where dry. The food was tasteless. I was better off going to the shop next door for a sandwich. The lady who served me wasn’t polite or friendly at all (rude). The lady also charged me £17.55 which is a lot of money for the amount of food I ordered. Will not be going in there for food ever again. DON’T RECOMMEND TO ANYONE

Saw big queues everytime I pass so thought it must be good.....Two large chips £4.30 and you only get v small portion!I would advise against ordering small unless you are definitely not hungry!Didn't taste bad though.

Great Fish & Chips food is always constant, Fresh, Hot &Just Cooked!Gluten-Free fish and chips twice a week and they are so good our friend comes down from Shropshire to have them.yes some times you go in and some staff look miserable and not friendly this is not all of them, they have some great ones too! This does not affect the quality of the food!Portion sizes are generous but if your feeling hungry get the next size up don't moan there wasn't enough chips in a small Hints in the name (SMALL)This is the cleanest fish & Chip shop i have ever seen.Highly Recommend you give it a Try! You wont be disappointed
