North Camp Fish Bar in Rushmoor

I'm sorry to say I was very disappointed with a minced beef pie and chips I bought this evening. The pie was so hard and overcooked, there was no gravy left in the pie. Fresh chips were cooked but mixed in with the old ones that had obviously been sitting there for a period of time. All in all, not worth the £8.10 I paid.

Their fish and chips is in my top 5 best fish and chips I have ever eaten. The fish was so fresh, not frozen. The batter was thin and crispy. Everything is made fresh for each customer. I was so pleasantly surprised. I couldn’t recommend the place more if I tried!

They are passionate about frying best Fish and Chips. Tasty big portions. Great service. Highly recommend.

Great portion sizes. Nice cod (not reformed) and thick none greasy chips. Owners are very friendly. Fish is cooked fresh so that can add a little wait but it is worth it.

We ordered from your store this evening and my husband ordered a fish meal, the fish itself was swimming in grease, to press down on it on the fork the grease was literally running out of it, he peeled as batter off as he could and ate what he could, it cost him £7.. he's spent the last hour violently being sick and feeling so unbelievably nauseas it's crazy. There has got to be much better standards that your food leaves your shop from because quite frankly it was and is disgusting.

Very disappointed. This shop has changed hands and the difference is noticed.Firstly, they allowed an older couple to stay in the shop while everyone else ordered then waited outside. They then handed a sausage to the male, who then pulled his mask down and ate the sausage while leaning on the counter. At times he was also talking. All this while preparing food nearby.I should have asked for a fresh batch. When I got home the fish batter was quite rubbery and tasted as if it had been on the hot plate for a while. The portion of chips was also very minimal compared to what it used to be like. Also I noticed that my order was ready fairly quickly so know that it wasn't freshly cooked.I will not be visiting again.

Wow, didn’t even know this place was here! Googled chip shops as the queue at one was silly. I’m glad I did as the fish and chips were the best I’ve had for ages. Cooked to order, crispy batter and huge portion of chips. It was all topped off by very friendly staff. I will be back soon!
