Had a lovely Sunday roast meal there. The portions were generous and all nicely cooked. Highly recommend.

Great fish n'chips - local beer sourced for batter. Attentive service. Interesting selection of beer on pumps. Will return.

Very good sized car park, plenty of space. Decent atmospherics inside, very spacious with wifi and lots of TVs on the walls.Clean tidy, friendly and efficient staff, decent beer garden which is enclosed. The pub is dog friendly which is great, nice little snug area, a mixture of wooden seating and comfy chairs.Good menu with some pub favourites on show, we had the Thatched burger with fries and onion rings which was very good quality.Based on this visit I would recommend, £64 for 3 of us to eat including drinks which I think is decent value.

First visit since the reopening. Friendly welcome from helpful staff. Good range of drinks at reasonable prices. Food choices were impressively varied for a Sunday Lunch menu. The food was served in good time, and the quality was excellent. We both enjoyed our meals, and stayed on, soaking up the relaxed ambiance whilst enjoying another round of drinks. It's fair to say we will be returning in the not too distant future; if the weather keeps improving, we'll take in the garden next time

Three of us had dinner here, last night. We wanted to seee what it was like after a refurbishment.Very disappointing!!A glorified sports pub with food, very average. My Sausage and Mash looked as if it was TV dinner, purely microwaved. The other food in the party was disappointing too.The couple beside us, simply said they’d eaten theirs, another table close by returned her food, hardly eaten, saying she wasn’t hungry.Lighting also very bad.We each had to hold our menus under the spotlight on the wall to read the menu ( dark blue background with had to read menu..In all, it could be made nice, but it needs to vastly up its game as the other eateries around need not worry about it being a rival.I very much appreciate your response!!I was not trying at all to be awful.I just think your establishment needs a few tweaks. The mash was a bit ‘processed’ and the gravy a little watery ( I’m sure that can be rectified easily). As your establishment probably has issues with what you can do, perhaps look at changing your menu to a white ( or lighter background ( with blood or highlighted text.We are prepared to review our points of view in the future ( as we live a short distance away). Our nearest pub is The Plough and Horses, but willing to frequent your place again, if matters improve.I hope you see this as constructive criticism ( as we have also been in the hospitality business in the past).

Lovely pub, food was amazing and the staff are very welcoming and can't do enough for you the lady that served us was kerry and she was really lovely and the other lady but I didn't get her name. Will definitely be returning soon.

Easy parking. Usually tables available. Old, thatched building. Areas outside to eat when it's warmer. Dogs welcome. Quite friendly staff. The food can be a little hit and miss but is good value. A fairly good choice, sometimes very nice, sometimes a bit disappointing.Clean toilets. Sports often on large TV if that's your thing but you can escape it, as it's unobtrusive.
