The Golden Lion in Rushmoor

First time back in 25 years, warm welcome, clean,tidy bar area, dart board, comfortable seats,downside was no food available even a simple bar snack like a toastie etc would have been nice.Overheard that the Sunday lunches were being stopped because of no shows, simple remedy to this is non refundable deposit at time of booking with a slightly cheaper price for those who booked before the day,this was and probably still is a nice,well run local pub but I left with the feeling that more could be done to entice more customers through the doors.

Great atmosphere, great bar staff and land lady. Perfect roasts completely recommended

(Jan 2022) Superb Sunday roast with 9 vegetables & a choice of pork, lamb, chicken & beef (or a mix) & jug of gravy for £8.50Photo shows Medium portions!

Lots of good memories here in the late 1970's ! It's still going but haven't been in there since ! The landlord & landlady back then were fabulous, warm people

Sunday dinner excellent and choice of small, medium and large. Medium was plenty. Washed down with an excellent pint of London Pride. What more could a man want.

Great roast and huuge. All meats available and lots of gravy. Deffo will eat there again

Amazing service, delicious roasts and value for money.Sadly cheap brand wine was a turn off but other alternatives were had.Will definitely be back soon

By far the best roast for miles. You'll need to book. Veggie options available Inc all roasties cooked seperatly etc if you let them know.

Friendly local pub with well kept beer. Very welcoming.
