Beautiful setting. Shame about the food.Ice coffee came overpoweringly sweet but the staff were very polite and kindly made a new one. The breakfast however of eggs royal, the salmon had some grey tinged edges to it and the eggs were cooked solid through, bun hadn’t been toasted and the hollandaise sauce was almost certainly from a packet and had a sort of crust on it when it reached our table. For the sausage sandwich, nice sausages, great bread, shame it was only 1/2 full, more sandwich than sausage on this occasion. Oh and the orange juice was warm. Tap water however I couldn’t fault, 10/10.

Lovely setting and my food was decent. The smoothies aren’t proper smoothies so waste of money, orange juice served warm and eggs Benedict nothing special it’s a shame because the location is lovely. service and vibe of the place wasn’t great the younger staff were nice enough but the lady with the blonde hair who I can only assume is the manager had an attitude, and wasn’t welcoming at all.

Really nice location with good food, drinks and very accommodating welcoming staff

Quality cafe, good quality honest food (great menu choice) and friendly helpful staff.Despite the slightly out of the way location, can get busy so go early or play safe and make a reservation.Lovely views out over the fishing lakes.

I’ve been to this restaurant a few times and it’s always been amazing. Lovely staff & really nice food. Also a beautiful view especially when the sun is shining! Will definitely be returning!

Lovely place but when busy inside it does get incredibly loud and very hard to actually hear the person at your table speaking. Would benefit from some sound proofing so you can hear yourself think.Twice now the waitress has not made me feel very welcome. The second time we did not even get handed menus on arrival, even though they were right next to her!

This place is an hard one for me to give a really good review on.Don’t get me wrong the staff was nice and the coffee was good.My sole reason for the visit was to obtain a review of the fishing area for a magazine.I traveled 40 miles to do this review and research take photos. But the owner doesn’t want people wandering around his site so walking is prohibited and I was asked to leave in quite a stuck up manner.Needless to say the photos I took was deleted and the magazine was told there would be no review from me on this occasion. It’s a shame as it was a lovely place.Even though I freelance for the international press he had the pretext to lecture me on taking photos of children.I would never do this unless the guardian / parents personally given permissionCheersDR

We have eaten here quite a few times now. A nice hidden little gem right on our doorstep. A good choice of both food and drink and a pleasant outlook onto the lake.

Our first time here and we were instantly made to feel welcome. Very friendly staff, great service and lunch was delicious! Hubby ordered Bacon Brie & Cranberry Pannini with a side order of thick cut chips. I had Fish Finger Sandwich and shared his chips 😜 We will definitely return again. Thank you all so much 😊
