Arthurs in Sevenoaks

We have been here a few times and loved it previously- Very disappointing wait for service. Food was very average and lazy given the price point.I Appreciated that this was a busy time of year, but we were generally disappointed in the service and quality.What’s a shame!

Not even acknowledged to be waiting to be seated. After specifically going out of way to visit Liberty, the staff in Arthur's could not even muster the courtesy to make eye contact to acknowledge we were waiting to be seated. After 10 minutes of standing there like we had leprosy, we passed.

Distinctly underwhelmed. Very narrow and disappointing menu. Service poor and quite slow. Trying to make eye contact with staff, so as to pay etc was nye on impossible. Prices do not match the quality of food and then had the cheek to apply a service charge. Never again.

Paid £9, including a service charge, for two very bad coffees with poor, slow service. Cake slices were listed as £8. Other than being inside Liberty I don’t understand the appeal.

This is the cafe restaurant on level 2 of the famous Liberty Department store. We popped in for some morning tea in December 2021 trying the scones and coffee. Both tasted good. But the prices through the roof, and we found the atmosphere somewhat lacking. Service was pretty good though.

We visited two days ago. The famous carrot cake was finished so we ordered Trio cheesecake which was nice. Both earl grey and mint tea are recommended. Staff were friendly and wearing masks. The environment was quite and it was a good place to rest in the middle of Christmas shopping madness. We will visit again.

I am here on a bank holiday, 3rd Jan and it’s packed. There is one person doing all of the cooking. One. He is doing an excellent job. My food was great. I only see one server as well. She’s also handling everything as promptly as possible. Hats off to the staff today. Thank you.
