The wait was ridiculous end up walking out. Service was appalling rude staff rubbish on the floor. We ended up across the road to Zizzi and the service was great.

Popped in to get lunch, pre-ordered off the website so there was no waiting at all. Food was still hot when I collected it.I got the lunch side deal, halloumi bites and a pollo pizza wrap. The bites were great, just what I needed for a lunchtime pick me up. The wrap was alright, the dough to filling ratio could have been better in my opinion. Flavours were nice though. It looked like there was a decent amount of seating inside too.

Went in on a Friday night at about 8:30 after the main rush. Menus all over the floor when we walked in. Shown to a cramped table and then ignored for over ten minutes. Couldn’t catch the attention of a single member of staff. No drinks offered. We left out of principle without being able to place an order. Pizza express used to be a good, cheap, bite out. Now it’s much more pricey, but the service was awful. Not worth the visit. If they’re going to put up prices, then the service has to match. Staff looked so tired and miserable.

We booked for a meal at 5pm, prior to the theatre at 6.30.Whilst food was good, it took ages for orders to be taken and the food to arrive, meaning it took almost an hour between us arriving and the main meal arriving. We had to run to the show.In retrospect, I should have been less relaxed and been on the staff from the first minute.

Not busy but it was 3.30. Took my granddaughter there for a treat after school. Greeted by a friendly waiter who was very helpful. Glasses and utensils didn't look particularly clean and could do with updating to new. Food for granddaughter was obviously microwaved as arrived very quickly. Place felt like a renovation required.

Always busy therefore service can be a bit slow on Saturdays. Competing delivery services when dining in do not help in that respect. Missing the healthy salad options they used to have. Kids love it though.

Table of 6. Not all mains delivered at same time. 1 main meal we waited and the rest of the table was about finished. Food was OK. Table not ready initially. Pretty poor really. And we got a parking ticket because we registered only when we were in the restaurant so don't hang about log on immediately.

Burnt food, very slow service. Had to wait 45 minutes for starter after seeing later arrivals receive theirs. Had to ask for drinks. A huge disappointment for an otherwise great restaurant chain. For their discretion they didn't charge for the starters. Sadly a disappointing evening.

Absolutely awful service. We came at 1.10 and we left at 3.00pm.Waited more than 60 minutes to be served our mains. (We didn't order any starter). When I asked the server, she told me "I don't know".When asking the manager, he told me that the lasagna takes longer to cook. For some unfrozen meal, I think this is quite outrageous. Two tables that came after us where served before us. Another table, the order was wrong and she had to return it.Some of the servers spend more time chit chatting that serving. Next time, we will just order at home or get some frozen food ! We left truly disappointed by the service. It is a shame because the food was tasty. Some of the staff are really young and doesn't know how to speak to clients. Seems a bit on the rude/I can't be bothered tone.We definitely won't come back and forget about the Saturday lunch service which seems to be chaotic.

We arrived for lunch hungry and left hungry - 1 hour 15 minutes later, having cancelled our order. The service was non-existent. We spoke to the manager about our marathon wait, explaining to him that, because of our other commitments, we could not wait any longer for our lunch. We have always enjoyed eating at Pizza Express restaurants. Never before have we experienced such poor service. No redress was offered.
