Rose & Crown in Sevenoaks

Andy our waiter was brilliant. A credit to the pub. Food was really good as well. Only big downside was the rudeness of the lady who welcomed us. Said we had no booking and we're not open for food till 5pm. I said it is 5pm. No apology. No smiling. Then when we asked for toilet paper from her and she begrudgingly organised to get some. Her customer service was awful. Then when others were coming in the same thing in her demeanour. This lady just does not need to be in customer service. She is down right rude. Saw the other members of staff that interacted with her roll their eyes as well and try to avoid her. Apologies Rose and Crown but if was not for her then would be 5 star.

Very nice design, beautiful! Fantastic service! Everybody was polite and very pleasant. Food wasn't so good. We ordered 2 medium fillet steaks. They were small for £30 and overcooked (or maybe just dry). We will go again to give it another chance.

Fantastic pub with delicious food. The menu is much more elevated than your typical pub food, the apple sorbet with the pork belly was exquisite. And lovely cosy vibe with a roaring fire. We will be back for sure!

I almost don’t want to leave a review in case it gets too busy and I can’t book a table when I want one….We requested a round table for 6 of us and were seated in the conservatory area. Ash served us and he honestly contributed to how much we enjoyed our evening. To The Rose and Crown manager, Ash deserves a pay rise! He’s an absolute asset to your restaurant!We each had 3 courses, drinks and coffees, if we couldn’t make our minds up Ash gave very tasty recommendations. Each of us thoroughly enjoyed all that we ate and drank (I was driving so can only recommend the water!)We’ve decided to go back to celebrate each of our birthdays and would request to be served by Ash.All in all highly recommend, food, drink, service, decor and atmosphere 5 stars

Visited the Pub with my daughter and her friend, very nice inside newly decorated.It wasn’t very busy so all seem good.Waitress was over in a flash to serve us drinks and was very pleasant.Great start, we ordered our food and waited and waited.1/2 hour later turned up, the girls had the same chicken dish,one said hers was cold the other said it was fine.I ordered the steak sandwich which came with a small portion of chips, when the waiter delivered it to me, I said it’s a bit small for I think nearly £13.How right I was.2 slices of bread and not your normal size of bread but smaller with some sort of lettuce, sauce and the smallest portion of beef I have ever seen.Probably two mouth fills, if that!!!None of dishes came with vegetables, you have to order and pay separately!!!!I pointed out the problem with the beef,They refunded the steak sandwich and agreed it wasn’t good enough.Management I do not mind paying for something as long as it deserves it, but and you may say you’re prices are in line with other pubs/restaurants, please give value for money.You were recommended to me, but I won’t be visiting again.

Love the refurb of this pub, it really is stunning! Beautiful bar featuring a huge array of drinks. The food was super tasty, highly recommend!! The staff are also lovely - Dan it was lovely to meet you and thank you for making us feel so welcome. This will be a new regular place for us!

I recently visited the Rose and Crown for lunch with an old friend, the service we received from Ash was exceptional. He is so friendly and very knowledgeable. I couldn’t fault anything with the food or drinks and would highly recommend for everyone to try out their delicious food. We will be back in the near future.

What a disapointing visit Sunday 2/1 /22 .we've been waiting for a chance to visit since the reopening , went in everything looked great ,got our drinks met our waiter ,took us to the table and ordered meal ! My starters ,prawn cocktail came up , clearly the prawns were see through ,didn’t fancy that so called the waiter over he took them back and asked would you like some new or better cooked ones ,I thought no I’ll skip that and have soup ,no problem and away he went , well that came up very Luke warm ,much to my horror, over came the lady manager to have a go a me because the prawns are always cooked like that and how hot do you want your soup ,didn’t much appreciate that just thought I’d let people no cheers bill

Would one million percent recommend eating here. The food was perfect couldn't fault it what so ever, it was absoloutley delicious. And the hospitality was wow, Ash and Suzie I can't thank you enough. You both deserve to be at the top. Thank you.

Wonderful to see this reopened again, and with a drastically redesigned interior that makes good use of the space in the distribution of chairs and tables.The ambience is luxurious, combining modern with traditional elements, and the period interior features are not compromised.The samples from the new menu bode well, was especially taken with the superfood salad.
