Lovely pub. Good selection of beers. Character inside. Darts board. Friendly staff. Pretty good food.

Really nice atmosphere in this pub. Good variety of beer on tap. I would recommend this and what is now called the restoration (formerly black boys) if you're looking for good pubs in Sevenoaks.

Best pub in Sevenoaks town. Busy little place with beer in good nick, nice wine, and good bands from time to time.

Very welcoming and friendly :) nice and quiet when we went on a Sunday, Staff lit candles for us on the tables and were very welcoming. Me and my mum ordered the chicken tenders which had a very nicely seasoned breaded coating and rosemary salted fries which had a lovely sprinkling of chunky salt! we loved it. The beef chili loaded fries were also very tasty. My mum loved her latte and my hot chocolate was super! Would recommend, nice atmosphere and staff

Good atmosphere, friendly bar staff and great pint of tribute. Didn't get food but pretty extensive pizzas and burgers on the menu.

A pub that doesn't take cash? What's that all about then? However the Anchor and Sennockian gained my custom that evening who were able to accept coins of the realm. And they will continue to do so as long as they accept cash.

A cosy atmosphere, very welcoming, and the staff are so friendly, and its in the centre of town, good clean Beers reasonably priced.

Staff here are lovely, friendly and attentive. The food was really lovely too.

Used to be one of the greats in Sevenoaks.Unfortunately our visit was very disappointing. Service was slow even though the bar was quiet. The London road side of the pub had a stream of delivery drivers using that side of the pub as a minicab office, constantly in and out of the door and also playing darts right next to our table.Unfortunately we lasted two drinks and left.Will give it another try in the new year to see if it has improved. This is the first time I've had a negative experience of this place in 30 years.

First visit today with friends. The Lady behind the bar quite rude, (glasses, very tall, dark hair) not the friendliest approach for a bar staff.I enjoyed the drink so awarded 2 star but will not be returning after that experience.
