Absolute Gem of a place. Amazing food, can highly recommend

I have dined in and had takeaway multiple times as we just can’t get enough, the taste and experiences leaves you wanting more. The staff are very attentive, quick and efficient. Recommend the Reggae Roast served on Sunday’s and the Hench Boxes! The plantain and dumplings are delicious, very good size portions. Ask the waiter how the menu works, as you do have to order sides with some dishes but it’s very responsibly priced for what it is! A true hidden Gem in Chorlton-cum-Hardy. Recommend to all family and friends!

Came here for lunch to celebrate our anniversary and it was awesome. We chose to sit outside (covered) as it was sunny. It wasn't cold at all but the staff turned on a heater for us. Lovely gesture.We always like trying new dishes that aren't 'typical' for us non-natives. Instead of ordering jerk chicken, we ordered Curry Goat (£9.80), Ackee and Salt Fish (£10.50), Coconut Rice 'n' Peas (£3.25) and Fried Dumplings (£3.50).Food came at reasonable time and the portions were generous. Very homely meals and we absolutely loved them. Both dishes had its unique flavours and I loved the combination of the curry and the fried dumplings. I enjoyed the dumplings absorbing the sauce. To me, the curry is more like goat gravy with added curry powder but it was still delicious as the curry wasn't overpowering.The Ackee and Salt Fish was something different; it had a punch of flavours but not overly salty from the fish. It was good with the rice.We had a fabulous time there. Thank you for the food and the service. Hope to visit again very soon.Highly recommended in Chorlton for Jamaican food!

This place really is a true taste of the Caribbean. Dining here is a whole vibe from the decor to the sweet reggae music playing in the background...then there is their delicious authentic soul food 😋And the beautiful waitress who is a complete delight. I could literally sit in this place for hours as it seems just so chill. Definitely got to go soak up everything from this place!

I can quite honestly say that the food and service are second to none! We chose hench boxes in meat and vegetarian options and were super impressed with the taste/food options and amount. It was my birthday and the very attentive staff gave me a birthday drink on the house, too! We will be back and I suggest that you should go too. You won’t be disappointed.

Really tasty food at a good price. The staff were really friendly too. I can’t wait to return!

Just really lovely. The food came quickly, the portions were very generous and it was absolutely delicious! Also, there is a lot to be said for the pints being spot on as a lot of places dont seem to look after their beer but the Red Stripe and the IPA were both crisp, fresh and left rings on the inside of the glass where they had kept their heads. 10/10 experience and we'll be back.

Lovely Sunday roast at The Drop bar, unfortunately though quite a few menu options were missing and they had no beers on draught at all! Management also need to put more staff on serving, felt sorry for the girl who was rushed off her feet as it's a busy spot. Really enjoyed the food, service could be improved.

Wow had lunch here today with my family, all I can say is wow the food was fantastic couldn’t finish it. But did finish my rum punch with no problem. The staff & service (by a young lady) was second to none. Outstanding will definitely go back & strongly recommend. Thank you for a great day

Take away from Drop Bar on a busy wet Sunday Evening at start of peak time 18:30.Servers were polite and checked for my order from time to time.The smells coming from the kitchen are so amazing that my stomach was grumbling!Plus they make great cocktails and loaded plates going passed looked amazing. Makes you really want to dine in!We ordered:1. Sunday only Reggae Roast2. Hench Box [best seller] with curry goat and lamb chops3. Sides: Jerk Wings, Dumplings, curry goat sauce, skin on friesPortions are generousTasted and fresh ingredients are evidentWebsite has a simple order system, we ordered at 5.15 and the earliest pick up was 5.45… so there is a minimum 30 minute wait.Packaging is simple, remained intact, and is all recyclable. They did offer me a plastic bag which I refused.Overall for taste, ease of ordering and experience I would recommend.
