We moved in up the road and finally got a chance to visit on mother's Day. Despite how busy the restaurant was, the service was amazing and so was the food! Check out the pic of dessert! Was to die for. We had mixed she's from 9-82yrs and all raved about it. We loved it so much we've booked again for Easter Sunday!

A lovely lunchtime meal with family & friends. Venue was busy but well organised and situated away from the bar area but close enough. Meal was lovely.

·

was a very nice place to stay nice food and very friendly would go again no problem

·

Nice pub with friendly staff, food disappointing. Mostly reheated frozen stuff which is better than what is cooked fresh which is dry and bland.

·

Unfortunately the roast lamb was fatty and tough and some of the food was just warm. I thought I'd found a real gem as two previous meals had been delicious but I won't be back.

Food is lovely, however, service is a bit hit and miss. On both occasions that I have visited in recent weeks, we were not asked if we wanted drinks so had to leave the table to go to the bar. Absolutely not a problem but to then find the bar empty and the staff just stood there was a bit frustrating.

Food and service was great. Warm welcome and excellent service by all staff we encountered. Will definitely return and hopefully have a stay in one of the rooms. We had nothing but praise for The Rising Sun Inn. Thank you so much. 😁

We have always had good food but visiting this week we found the food not as good as it usually is, we will think twice about coming back. The staff was very helpful

A warm welcome and promptly shown to our table. Within 5 minutes menus appeared and drink orders taken. Orders given for food which was delicious and hot , no carvery rubbish here! A delicious nut roast for 2 of our party with turkey and beef for the other two . We couldn't resist desert so the sorbet for me ( perfect after 2 courses! ) and strawberry sundea for the others. Service was spot on , friendly, polite and nothing to much trouble dispite being so busy .Value for money? Definitely a yes and can't wait for a chance to go back.A friendly community pub , great food and very traditional inside. Thanks to all at The Rising Sun Inn x

Superb village pub, with excellent food. The staff are very kind to my 5 year old daughter, who loves the sausages. Fortunately for me, she often asks to go to the pub for her usual on a regular basis.
