Good coffee!! Also a nice selection of locally sourced food items and organic treats! Lovely, laid back atmosphere!

One of my absolute favourite places for lunch in Cheriton! Michele is so welcoming and very friendly, and the food is always delicious. I would highly recommend the Mozzarella, Pesto and Chicken panini or the Tuna Melt Panini! It is also lovely to see other locally made items for sale here - cheeses, bread and chocolates as well as fresh fruit and vegetables from the local area too. If you're looking for somewhere to go - it's Basil's.

Brilliant independent business run by Michelle. Great breakfast. Fantastic Kent produce. Wonderful service and atmosphere. Homemade cakes and other delights.

So fresh, so local, so ethical in all it provides. Right down to the bread and milk that they use for every sandwich and every coffee.Every eatery should have this ethic and the works would be a better place x

We went in as a treat but not every thing was available on the menu. Salad not available as in menu. Tables sticky. Staff friendly but didn't offer a serviette or eating tools we had to ask. Good for pop in bacon sandwich to take away. No room for wheelchairs.

My wife had been quite a few times and suggested I try it also, I wasn't disappointed. From the warm welcome we received upon entering, to the best coffee I have tasted in a while, and onto the exquisite full English breakfast i had, would definitely have me coming back for more. If you haven't tried basils I suggest you do, you will leave with a smile on your face.

Basil's doesn't have a huge menu but what they do they do very well and there is something for everyone. There is outside seating and dogs are welcome. The place is immaculately clean and the staff are very friendly. I stop there on my way home from the early shift and I can update my paperwork while others work on their laptops. There is free wifi available. The regulars are friendly and they range from young mothers to the elderly and everyone feels at home. I love it!
