Cheriton Balti And Tandoori Takeaway in Shepway

I am extremely disgusted with this place. I placed an order at 7pm on Uber Eats and the time slot given was 7:45-8:05pm, when it got to the end of the time slot, it still hadn’t left the shop so i decided to rang at 8:25pm. The guy who answered is rude, sarcastic and doesn’t care, sadly you can hear by his tone and the comments he makes..he told me that it was leaving the shop in 20 minutes time. I only live in Hythe so i know that delivery isn’t too long but i still gave it time. At 9:15pm the food still hadn’t arrived, so i rang back and the same guy told me that it had left the shop 10 minutes prior..well this was a lie. The food never arrived, from around 9:50pm onwards i kept ringing the shop but it was constantly engaged and I have a feeling that they took the phone off the hook to stop people ringing them. Then to top it off, on Uber Eats the order was changed to delivered, despite the fact it wasn’t, and was never attempted. Thankfully Uber eats have fully refunded me, but I will never be ordering from Cheriton Balti again. If they are unable to keep up with the orders, then they need to either cap it or hire more staff/drivers..we should not be paying for food and being made to wait 3 hours, and being told lies to string us along and end up with nothing.

Absolutely awful service, ordered at 7:50 and didn’t arrive until 10:45. Called all evening and the phone was constantly unavailable, no apology. Will not use here again

This has to be the worst meal we have ever had from here. I will never order again waited over an hour for delivery,the korma sauce was like milk ,chicken was cheap and nasty naan bread was doughy. Complete waste of money and left with a very nasty taste in the mouth.

Awful! My aunty and elderly grandmother ordered a take away curry from here for just eat, and my aunty thought she was going to die of food poisoning! 3 days of sickness and diarrhoea. Don’t bother!!

Nearly 3 hours late. When I rang the restaurant an hour after ordering when they said the order had been delivered, they said it was just leaving.. hour later it still hadn't arrived.. when it did finally arrive it was like warm and watery/soggy. Asked for a refund and was palmed off with "we were busy". Doesn't excuse poor food and even worse customer service.

Used these guys in 2017 and swore I'd never use them again as it took 3hr 10min to arrive. Thought I'd give them another chance 4 years later and guess what? Ordered at 17.45, they predicted 18.55. Its now 20.01 and 3 phone calls later I'm still waiting. Atrocious! Food's average anyways.

2.5 for a delivery on a Monday night, when I first called the restaurant the “boss” was so rude and told me delivery left already. After one more hour of waiting I called again and the nice lady said it just left (again). Needless to say food arrive cold, naan was stone hard, popadom was mushy and all crushed. Korma was delicious, so were starters, however did need to microwave it…

2nd time ordering for benefit of the doubt ..delivery between 7.50 and 8.10.... arrived at 8.45... ok let it go....Bland, sloppy. Paid extra for king prawn. 4 chewy prawns.. in amongst watery tomato soup and about 25 chopped onions. Ordered chutneys got a tub of cucumber yoghurt...popadums were like soggy cereal boxes.I literally never leave a bad review but this was really something else 👎

Don’t bother.... we ordered form Uber Eats and wish we gone else where. We ordered the King prawn masala (average) and the king prawn butter chicken which was extremely pale in colour and pretty tasteless. We ordered some sides such as a rice and two naan breads. It felt like the sauces had been watered down. Utterly disappointed with the food received, not to mention it was over half an hour late in reaching us. It was very poor compared to others in the local area.

Absolutely delicious! Food was fresh, flavoursome and delivery was quick. Good portions and excellent value for money, too. Personal favourite is the sag paneer!Really appreciated the restaurant reading my order notes, too, as I'm not a fan of coriander at all - Made it really enjoyable for me.Many thanks. :)
