25/06/22 edit: Another great meal at Dr. Legumes. Friendly service. Gorgeous food. Some new photos added. 😋😋😋. Original: Fabulous, flavoursome food. Located right on the harbour. The food was utterly delicious. Beautifully presented. Friendly staff. I can personally recommend the sweet miso breaded aubergine, the Rubens pastrami, the BBQ slider and the seasonal greens. These young chefs seriously know how to impart flavour. Understated, utilitarian design inside. Limited seating inside, loads outside if weather is decent and wind isn't too bracing. Seriously, it's an absolute gem and I'd go back tomorrow to try more dishes if I could. Totes amazeballs.

The best vegan food we've ever tasted. Tastes even better than it looks. Definitely coming back. It was a bit difficult to find when we first visited as there was an outdoor event going on in the car park, but subsequent visits have been fine. Its located next to the old Folkestone Harbour Station and Harbour Arm. The views back across the bay and along the coast are great. The staff are very friendly and polite. Its not the biggest place to eat, which means its best to book, but it also makes it a fairly calm place to eat too.

The food here was absolutely phenomenal! So many intricate and rich flavours in the dishes and lots of attention to detail on the presentation. I would highly recommend anyone in the area to visit this lovely little place. The service was amazing too, all the staff was super friendly and helpful. Thank you!

We were blown away by how tasty everything was and cannot wait to go back again. Even my very non vegan partner said it was the best food he had in Folkestone.

Excellent food, really tasty, hearty and warming on a cold day. Nice space too. Don't go in if you're in a rush/after a quick bite as the food took quite a long time to arrive, but it was worth the wait, so if you've got the time then I definitely recommend it.

Unpretentious fine dining in a small and cosy establishment on the harbour arm. The food is incredible. Get as many dishes as possible! I'm not even vegan, and thinking about it I don't think the word was ever even mentioned (which is quite nice). They just serve the food they make. Every pickle, every dob of sauce and every piece of mock bacon - it's all made in-house. You can just sit back and enjoy the local beers as the food comes when it's ready. This is a place where you can really trust everything. There's no sauces on the table, or salt and pepper, because as it comes is how it should be and it never fails to exceed expectations. And what's more - no item exceeds 10 quid!

Amazing first experience at Dr Legumes and also first experience at a Vegan restaurant.The food was amazing and the flavours were really good (something that a meat eater never thought possible).The staff made us feel really welcome and squeezed us in at the last minute.Looking forward to visiting again in the not too distant future.

I’ve tried coming here a few times, but have always gone when it was closed. Today, I was in luck because I had the whole day off and my friends and I were mighty hungry.The staff (James in particular) were very inviting, polite and helpful. Our order was taken quickly and drinks were brought promptly whilst we waited for the food to arrive.I had the meze platter and my friends both opted for the chicken style burger.The food presentation was very impressive and the taste followed suit. Absolutely incredible tastes and textures, and by far the best falafel I’ve ever had in my life.Overall, we had a great meal and will happily visit again in the future, thank you!
