Folkestone Wine Company in Shepway

A small, unassuming and intimate little restaurant with a small but perfect little menu. The food is delicious and cooked to perfection with a fantastic wine list. We chose the oysters, venison, bream and creme brulee. A sure favourite for me.

I was dining here just before Christmas as they were closing for a couple of weeks due to covid. I’m so happy places like this still exist and people still have the love for great food to still do them. Definitely an early Christmas present for me and I hope they prosper in 2022. Brilliant. Mark

Visited on a Sunday and such a shame it wasn't busier, it totally deserves to. Delicious food, and excellent wine list.The tram really know their stuff so listen to recommendations.Will be back when I am back in Folkstone.Also, the creme brulee is to die for.

We were invited to join some friends for lunch and were both very impressed with the intimate nature of the restaurant and the quality of the food and service.

The food was good but I eat out a lot and I felt that it was very expensive for this sort of venue. Our bill was such a shock that we did not leave a tip so I hope that the prices included the service charge I would normally tip. The wine list was excellent but it could have offered a bit more choice at the bottom end of the list. We ordered the cheapest wine on offer which was very good and when we checked the mark up was reasonable. Why is the UK so expensive, we have just returned from Ireland and have had some amazing meals in fantastic venues for less and Ireland is comparatively expensive compared to other parts of Europe. I know that many businesses may feel they have to increase their prices to pay back Cover loans but it is a tactic that will backfire long term as they lose customers.

It's such a special place. We had a perfect evening with amazing food and lovely service. All ingredients were seasonal, local and fresh. Wine recommendations were spot on. Loved the atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!

Like being in an exclusive bistro in France, only you're in Folkestone, Kent. Dave and Polly are the perfect restaurant hosts, cooking and serving the most perfectly simple, delicious plates of carefully chosen produce from Kent and Europe. Love, love, love. An absolute must visit.

Great little place for some seasonal and delicious food. The menu changes as per the availability. Love the lamb dishes. Reasonablly priced.

Mrs T and I went for lunch on Sat 19th June to celebrate our wedding anniversary and all I can say is wow! Each dish was amazing with equally delicious wines. A really charming place run by charming people. By far it is Folkestone's finest!!
