Harbour Fish Bar in Shepway

Was ok waited ages,but cooked fresh.Cod in batter was thin fish,greasy batter.chips were ok.Fish used to be lovely,whats happened? Won't go there again.As there's better Fish and chip shops.we have local fish caught so was disappointed .

An interesting experience, went with my mother as she used to remember going there as a child and had fond memories, I also remember her taking me when I was a kid, always loved it, different owners now of course, cod and chips is £11, pictured is what I got, dunno whether it's me being greedy but this kinda looks like half a portion? Or at the very least not cod. Batter on fish was not crispy but chips and curry sauce were lovely, staff were also fine. For the price I'd say it wasn't worth it, something like this should be around £7.50 IMO. Would love to give this place a higher review to support it but it isn't the same as it once was. 2.85/5

Decided to take my mum for a quick bite in there as she used to visit years ago, and she has some fond memories from her old days.Big mistake that was.On entering I wasn't particularly optimistic, there were a few tables with customers leftovers on, the remaining customers weren't looking very thrilled, most were poking at their food rather than eating it.Our experience was quite awful truth be told.Considering the place was maybe a little under steady in terms of customers we had an almost 20 minute wait for our food.When it did eventually arrive it certainly didn't add to the experience. It was dry, bland and half overcookedThe staff were sullen and irritable almost to point of seeming angry at the fact they had to be there and serve customers. I was quite put off going to the counter to purchase another drink.In the roughly 45 minutes I was there I didn't see a single table cleaned or old plates/food taken away.All in all I'd definitely give this place a miss.There are far happier and potentially cleaner places in Folkestone to visit.

Waited 40mins for food but customers were coming in ordering food & was getting it before we had got our food , the girls behind counter just stood around talking & then 1 of the went for a fag & as she walked out she put her hand down the back of her black leggings & fiddled with her bum ! Hopefully she washed her hands before she went back to serving !!When we did eventually get out food it really wasn't worth the £40 that it cost ! 3x battered sausage & chips , child's meal & rock & chips which was more batter than anything else, ! Definitely won't be going back there again !!

Food was goodService was slow - not sure if they cooked to order on a Saturday lunch time, but waited 15mins for chipsSausage and chips £5 - was not the larger portion!Free customer toilets

Bad undercooked chips, greasy cod and over priced kids food. Not evemna smole from the staff. Great location but nothing to return for.

The fish and chips here are great. My children liked the 1/4 pounders. I ordered the lamb chops and I did not enjoy them at all. They were more fat and gristle than actual meat and did not taste like lamb chops.

I loved the yummy cod I had close to the sunny sands here. It was amazing and my son loved the cheesy chips they served. The fish fingers were as good too. Very good food for the budget

Absolutely delicious fish & chips and scampi & chips! 🍤🍟 Portions are huge and staff polite and friendly. Very good coffee too ☕ Highly recommend 👍
