Leon - Eurotunnel in Shepway

We always have food from Leon whenever we travel by Eurotunnel. Fresh, tasty, imaginative, quick, it never failed us. However today I am disappointed. I tried the mango and passion fruit kefir. I drink a lot of kefir, plain or flavoured. This one tasted off. Was very fizzy and overly sour. I also bought the salmon and egg muffin and as a big fish eater I must say this wasn’t great either. The fish had unusually strong smell and it tasted bitter/sour.Not the quality we are used to from Leon I am afraid.

One of the better places for a quick eat and coffee in the Eurotunnel. Nice selection of slightly different food, much of which is freshly prepared and healthy.I know they are trying to reduce plastics, and food is handed out in large paper bags, but would be great to make the large paper bag optional, not really required when sitting there with just a couple of food items.

Good healthy food, however given how cheap the ingredients are, £7 for 5 strips of chicken and half a cm of salad is too little, was expecting a box half full of salad.

Firstly, we always travel early so never have had problems with queuing and so has always been fast, this morning had 6 minutes when we arrived and three when we left so took three minutes.Great tasting sausage & egg bap/cob/roll/muffin, home made ketchup is VERY tasty & vaguely ‘indian’ tasting, sausages have some nice taste also, not your bland usual English breakfast fare... one of my favourite sausage baps, I look forward to this whenever I go away using the Eurotunnel.Give it a try.

We usually travel in the morning and often have breakfast at Leon, which is varied and tasty. Later today, so we arrived ready for lunch. I had a chicken, lemon and olive tagine which was served promptly, stayed hot for a good 8-10 mins and was delicious! Glad the queue at the burger place next door was long otherwise we may have gone in there. Plenty of other tempting choices on the menu to try another time. Well done Leon.

Excellent catering for food intolerances. Our train was delayed, so we needed lunch for a hungry dad, wife on a diet, and child with multiple food intolerances. This place was comfortably able to cater for all our us with genuinely tasty food and friendly service. They even have a little creche area.

If you are in a hurry, hmm, let's say you have a train to catch to France, then this may not be for you. Service is mind numbingly slow. On the bright side Leon make a pretty good Flat White coffee.

Bad...bacon served in muffins looks boiled and left with all fat that makes overall not a pleasant experience. At least grilled and crispy I would understand the fat on bacon.. Not boiled... Couldn't get a coffee unless waiting 10 min. Will never put my feet in this low quality fast food
