Very nice ,staff are very welcoming and professional, very clean and tidy, we only popped in for a few drinks before our due at the leas cliff Hall, we will be popping back at some point for food, I have eaten here once before had a steak which was absolutely delicious, we have been saying about eating here again for some time but can never seem to get back, there's always other places for me to go and try 1st time , but I would highly recommend as my 1st experience was amazing

Afternoon tea was amazing. Just enough to not feel over full. Didn't feel rushed, and plenty of tea. Good choice of tea flavours too.

The afternoon prosecco tea, certainly more than we could manage, nice location on Folkestone Leas, sat in the extention overlooking the gardens. Good ambiance that would have been even better with a little gentle background music, but then that's me just being "picky".

We took advantage of a gift of Afternoon Tea. All staff on duty were helpful and polite. The standard of the food was very good. The restaurant and decor were all very pleasant and clean. There was a pianist on duty but no where near where we asked to sit. I would say nobody would have been able to hear the pianist. We were sat in the back restaurant. Some blinds would be beneficial in the back restaurant as the sun was very strong and nothing on the windows made it uncomfortable for those sat opposite the window.

Dinner here yesterday was pleasant enough. Starters a little stingy. Steaks were good. Pudding good too. But it really is expensive. And you’re paying for the name over the door - I would say 40% of the bill is for that name. So if you’re happy to pay for the name ok. There are equally good places in Folkestone for much less.

I am under no illusions that when you go to these franchise restaurants that you'll ever get to see the Owners themselves - BUT I do wonder if Mr. Pierre does go frequently? I am quite sure he wouldn't be overall impressed but what is representing his name. As a couple food is our 'thing' - We eat in various establishments when it comes to relaxing away from the children and work life.I looked forward to Marco Pierre in Folkestone as we had gifted our General Manager a meal at the Marco Pierre in Plymouth and he couldn't speak highly enough of the food and service.Starter - I ordered the Macaroni & Cheese and my partner ordered Calamari rings... Faultless! Flavourful! Cooked beautifully.Main - Medium/ Rare Singanture steaks one with King prawn and the other with garlic butter and Spinach/Mushrooms (with 7 chips each) Flavourless - Cooked okayish.Drinks were well priced - Beefeater pink gin and lemonade for £5 very reasonable.Staff - Well - Someone else reviewed previously and stated they just want to fulfil the table spaces and not give a delightful service and they hit the nail on the head. Repeatedly had to ask for our drinks - whilst serving they were totally uninterested.. There was a table that was extremely rowdy and argumentative and staff just ignored it. Someone was complaining at the reception when we walked in.. Staff didn't move the situation away from the front desk either instead allowed it to continue where everyone was walking in.Have a pop in Marco.

Food and service are average. When coming to restaurants owned by famous chefs, it is not unusual to set a level of expectation. Unfortunately, our experience fell below standard. The service was also quite poor as the staff were just running around to fulfill table services rather than genuinely wanting customers to have a great dining experience. I wish I could rate this dinner more than 2 stars but there is just nowhere to find a better rating.

We ate here last night for my birthday. We booked one of their domes (highly recommend) & also had drinks in the bar before we went into the dome. The bar tender was excellent. Amended a cocktail for me as I didn't like one of the spirits in it & really looked after us. Then to the dome. They'd already put some heaters in there so it was lovely & warm & there was a bluetooth speaker in so we could play our own music. Waiters were all excellent, special mention to our main waiter who was very attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent. They are currently running a special, 1/2 price mains, but I would have been happy to pay full price for my steak, it was delicious & cooked perfectly. Everyone else really enjoyed their meals too! We will definitely be back!

Very, very impressed with this venue. The setting, seating, service, food & general ambience of the place was hard to fault.

Lovely place to eat , but felt we were rushed with our food , would have liked more time between courses. Staff are really nice too .So only 1 negative .
