The Black Horse at Densole in Shepway

Popped in after a dog walk. Nice and welcoming dogs allowed too. Had a nice chat with the people inside, very friendly. Had some food whilst i was there along with a nice ale, was nice, felt the gormet burger was a little on the small side for price unfortunately the fries had so much salt on i was brushing it off, would have preferred to salt my own. Really wanted to give it 5 stars because of how welcoming it was, felt the food was trying to be too posh rather than filling. Dont take this as bad criticism other people may have different tastes.

Fabulous pub with delicious food and a very warm welcome by the staff. Perfectly situated for the caravan club site across the road, close to the channel tunnel

Incredible Food, Great Beer & Super FriendlyBeen to this pub a couple of times and the atmosphere improves every time.The chef Benny is amazing and produces outstanding food and will for sure putting this pub on the map as one of the best pubs in kent.They are also dog friendly which is an added bonus

I can’t recommend this place highly enough. Michelle, the landlady and the lady working behind the bar were so friendly, helpful and welcoming.We arrived too late to order food so they provided us with plates, cutlery and napkins and let us eat a takeaway in the pub!The fire was roaring. What a fantastic start to our holiday’

One of the best pubs I have been to.Sadly not my local pub. I ended up here with my friends who were staying in the caravan site just opposite. It was very busy but staff were on top of everything. The crowd was really nice and there was a very welcoming vibe. Good choice of drinks and excellent food. Most importantly, this pub is truly dog friendly as opposed to so many others, which are "dog tolerant". Definitely well worth more than one visit.

Under new management! Beautiful warm, cosy and friendly pub. Open fire, dog friendly, great selection of food and drinks, even for the vegans like me! Car parking! The staff and the locals are just so lovely. Highly recommend!

Really nice, warm and welcoming pub. Was my first visit and will definitely go again. Limited menu at the moment but the food we ordered was excellent and the service was great.

Such a friendly pub. Staff all polite. The black labrador is gorgeous. Felt very welcomed for a non local. The open fire was a high plus. Will definitely be back when staying at motorhome site.
