The Butt of Sherry in Shepway

Dropped in for a quick(ish) light bite and a pint on the Easter Monday.We arrived at about 3:30 and not wanting a full blown meal we were very happy to be told that we could still get something from the lunch menu.Attentive service, and yet not pushy or rushed.Had a nice chat with the manager who was very much "hands on", the food was delivered in about 10mins and most importantly, was very good. 😁

Great little pub. Fantastic pub grub. Shame we didn't have room for a pud. Staff friendly and dog friendly will be back.

Staying over in lyminge for one night they said we'd have a good meal, we were not disappointed. The steak in the pie was beautifully tender chips and peas, my husband in his element, I had the soup and must admit stole some of his meal. The girls behind the bar and serving food were great nothing too much trouble and they laughed and sang to Tina Turner a treat. Thanks for my evening. Not even expensive. Oh I forgot banoffi pie, yum yum 😋

Best quality food I've had on ages. The staff are really friendly and accommodating. There's a long stay car park not to far from the restaurant and a lovely canal near by. Plenty of shops along the pleasant High St. Seating available inside and outside.

Lovely little pub, friendly staff. Whole family enjoyed their meals, my fillet steak from the specials board was delicious and cooked to perfection. Highly recommended this place to eat.

Always guaranteed a great meal, second time here and looks pricy but you get what you pay for, position size too! Chose the steak and ale pie, great that you choose from mash fries or potatoes… A pudding alone is too much so perfect to share :)

Fish & chips is truly very tasty unlike in many other traditional pubs in England. Nice interior, very friendly and helpful waitress, good and varied choice on the menu, daily specials, lots of desserts, all very reasonably priced, clean, a great outside seating area oriented towards the evening sun (if sunny ;). Right in the center of historical Hythe. Very Covid-19 aware too. I was really impressed. No negatives at all. A 5 star place.
