Although this tea room wasn't our intended destination, it is an absolutely fantastic little place. Great food, generous portions, full of flavour and good prices. So welcoming, the customer service was second to none, the genuine care given to their customers is rarely seen. If your in their neck of the woods, definitely pop in for lunch or just a cuppa and piece of cake.

Had a great lunch here in the lovely village of Elham. We had sandwiches made with exceptional bread with tea that was brought to us within minutes. They had a large array of cakes and many menu items. Nice staff. I'd go there again.

We went to The Cosy Tea Rooms of Elham today and it was really lovely. The lady at the counter was warm and friendly and served us immediately. We had the apple and pear juice which is made locally, and they also have a variety of homemade cakes that all looked delicious. They have lots of vegan options for a sweet treat, breakfast and lunch so it is a great place for everyone! They also allow dogs who are given a free biscuit and there's a water bowl for them to drink from too.

Lovely tearoom in the Downs. We went out for afternoon tea and this place looked beautiful! Sweet independent business, completely wholesome. Unfortunately afternoon tea needs booked in advance so they have the correct ingredients but the owner was brilliant and suggested separate sandwiches and cream tea to share which a lovely alternative! Because it's small business, a couple of ingredients or options had run out which was not a problem at all but if your mind is set on something in particular it may be worth phoning ahead! Overall our sandwich and cream tea was perfect and completely homemade (like being back at home!) but other dishes including all day breakfast, soup, quiche all looked lovely too. We didn't have any appetite left for the cakes and bakes but they also looked lovely. Have already recommended to friends and we'll go back again for a tea date for sure

This has recently opened under new management and deserves to be supported. On a cold wet miserable day my daughter and I accompanied by 3 muddy dogs had a cheery welcome . The tea and coffee was great and there were some mouth watering cakes and light lunches on display . The dogs enjoyed their free dog biscuits too. Will definitely be back...such an asset to have a relaxed and quality dog friendly cafe in the village.
