For our motorhome overnight stop, the Drum Inn was drummed out. Three stars because the pub is lovely and the food good no doubt, because they were fully booked on this Thursday in February. And the staff are very nice. But this may be an example of how difficult it is to run a camper stop as well as a pub. What should've been a good pitch was congested with three caravans apparently in storage, and a coach. The poor bar managers were tasked with marshalling only a small number of campers into an inadequate space. We were in 'dog dirt corner' where there were at least three piles of dog poo left to mature. Facilities are limited to two unisex toilets and one shower, although the rather dated block was clean and heated. The black waste facility is basic and dirty, but it does function.I can understand why this site is popular, it's near the Tunnel and has a pub! But we left feeling a bit cheated for the £25 fee.

Nice pub & surroundings.Arrived at pub at 19:30 & was told kitchen staff finish at 20:00 can you order quickly. When we rang to book it we said that we would be there around 19:00-19:30 nothing was mentioned about kitchen staff finish at 20:00. Found the food just average. Leek & potato soup very watery, sea bass tasty but needed more veg+ potatoes. Almond cheesecake hardly any base & what base was on it was very soggy not impressed.Shame really as it spoiled the evening.

Today was our first visit and we're absolutely impressed with the friendly service & the exceptional food!Thank you to the wait/bar staff for the blanket to help warm my cold legs, for sitting us near the log burner & being so good humoured and friendly! So many wonderful choices on the menu too - totally spoilt for choice!Hats off to the chef and team for our perfectly cooked & quality seabass and steak meals. The ice cream and plum brulè were gorgeous too & bigger desserts than we expected - ice cream soft and creamy, plums perfectly poached under the creme brulè. Food heaven 😋 Thank You all!

Brilliant beer, well kept, out of the way - good parking, great food, what more could you ask for? Kent pub at its finest... It's not a gastro-pub, not meant to be, doesn't need to be, sometimes you just want a pin to be a pub!!
