Wok Express Chinese Takeaway in Shepway

Great food and quick delivery, I will definitely be ordering again, used to go to 9 Dragons but they aren't as good since the new management. New Wok Express all the way!

Ordered through just eat but food didn’t arrive. Called restaurant twice and on both occasions we were told the food was being packed up and on its way, which was clearly a lie. After waiting two hours we requested refund via the app. Dreadful service.

Lovely noodles!! Spare ribs were cut into pieces perfectly, everyone enjoyed their food and would recommend

Ordered for the first time today…definitely will be coming again! food is very tasty much better then 9 dragons….food wasn’t bland lots of onion just how I like it and nice prawns 👍

Used to be the best chinese that I have tried anywhere. Chef was amazing. Unfortunately the chef and wife have decided to return to China :(Having read others reviews since ownership change will not be using anymore.Update August 2021. Have decided to try it out. Unfortunately, the tofu in black bean sauce was completely tasteless and bland. No seasoning at all. Chow mien was nothing special, under seasoned.Shame as this was one of the best chinese takeaways ever. Not any more!

Oh dear, not sure what to say, we’ve been avid supporters of New Wok Express for a long time because they consistently delivered. However, this time they got things wrong:The honey chilli chicken my kids were looking forward to was not the one ordered. So called the restaurant, & they kindly replaced it & had it delivered pretty quick.They changed Chef but why oh why?! It was great before!!This time Garlic squid was half the size and double the batter. Chicken on all dishes was the water injected variety (we don’t like chicken with such consistency). The honey in the chilli chicken unrecognisable and overload on the chilli making it unbearable for my kids (Even the replacement was the same). Unfortunately the ribs were cut in half with hardly any sauce and to top it off the sauce for most dishes was watery.BRING BACK OLD CHEF - he had it spot on!If the intent is to maximise profit I don’t think compromising quality is the way to do that.

USED TO BE THE BEST not any more I had to call the restaurant as everything wasn't right, the spring rolls looked grey inside with only bean sprouts and was so salty we were choking on it!The sweet and sour chicken hong Kong style the sauce was minimal and transparent with no flavour , the smoked caramelised chicken wasn't that it had chilli's in it and resembled salt n chilli chicken, and the chkw mein was dry n no flavour ..Restaurant first told me they used different supplier, then later on in the call said they'd changed there chef BAD MOVE . YOUR NEW CHEF ISNT GREAT , PLEASE TELL US WHERE HE HAS GONE SO WE CAN ALL GET GOOD FOOD .

Ordered a meal. Waited over an hour. Rang them to see how much longer it was going to be. They told me they had cancelled the order as they were too busy! What a way to run a business!They did not even have the courtesy to ring me so I could order elsewhere. I will definitely AVOID them in future.Have given 1star only because there was nowhere to give 0 stars

Really disappointed! Ordered chicken curry and it was definitely undercooked! 🙊 Prawn balls were soggy as well, as though the batter was really under done and the prawns looked like they were just about cooked as well. The curry sauce was thick and gloopy, like there was too much powder added in when it was made. The chips were nice but after spending over £25 for the rest to be horrible that was one expensive portion of chips lol... Unfortunately will not be returning.
