The food was great and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I also really like that the calories are displayed on the menu. What you can improve on is speed of service. We booked a table for 7.30 pm and only got our main course at 9pm. We also had to wait quite a long time for our starters and when I finally got my king prawns they were nearly cold.

Lovely setting. Friendly staff. Very good food. Would recommend the Seabass and the Dirty Burger. In reference to the reviews regarding parking fines - there is plenty of signage asking you to register your number plate. We'll definitely visit again!

Very pleasant atmosphere, staff were brilliant. Had Sunday roast, very tasty, well balanced drinks and wine selection. Walked 4 miles to get to the pub/ restaurant. Worth every step; will go back when I am in the area next.

I'm reviewing this pub especially for a young man, Ryan who served us. The pub was busy, under staffed and some customers were leaving disgruntled. Irrespective of this, Ryan served us with a big and genuine smile. He got our food to us on time and he was lovely to talk to. Because of him, we had a great experience. More Ryan' in the world please.

Spent a few hours with my son. Warm service and good food. We had Calamari, Scallops, chicken and a burger. All very decent.

Having attended a funeral on 18/03/22 at nearby Slough Crematorium, I spent less than an hour in the Red Lion by invitation from the family, who had prearranged refreshments. Usually parking in a pub car park is free. Your custom is received in return for the space. There may have been a pay machine, but I was concentrating on parking, and staying socially distanced, and failed to attend to it.How shocked I am today, 28/03, to receive a parking fine of £85 reduced to £50 for prompt payment, from a private company with details of my registration to prove I was there for 54 minutes. However good or friendly the service is in the Red Lion, I feel that relying on a private company to inflict fines on unsuspecting customers is profoundly inhospitable.

AmazingWent here with friends when visiting. So welcoming...which was great after a long windy walk around black park. Extensive menu and very good with menu/product knowledge.... catered for an allergy within our group.Very welcoming and interactive with my young son and even washed up his plate and culterly that we always take with us.safe to say we left after mains and desert...full bellied! Will definitely be returning when we next come back down to "home" (we moved away 5 years ago)!

Beautiful and welcoming gastro pub for a Sunday lunch with loads of free parking :-)We totally enjoyed the Sunday roast trio and fish & chips !!Be prepared to wait for your drinks and food … it’s definitely not the faster service .. took 20mins for cocktails to be made and 1 whole hour before we got our meals after ordering .. lucky food was yummy and good portions.

Popped by on a Tuesday night for dinner. Great service, very friendly and attentive.Didn't realise it was the same brewery as The St George & Dragon where I'd been earlier in week until I looked the menu. Again good quality tasty food
