Achimi in South Bucks

Excellent food and service!! Lovely California roll and Maki’s rolls. Tempura prawns were large and light batter.

Absolutely delicious, super fresh and brought to the table by the chef himself. Very friendly staff telling of their favourite way to eat bonito flakes. Being from Australia, I have been spoiled with delicious sushi and really struggled to find good sushi in the UK. Achimi is officially my go to sushi restaurant. 10/10 (picture of delicious takoyaki)

Would be 4 stars but having to reduce to 3 stars for the lack of atmosphere or ambience, and it’s a little pricey for how sad the restaurant is inside. We do like coming here for the sushi and the lunchtime bento box is really good and good value, however the menu is quite expensive. And given the prices, it’s a shame that there is zero ambience in the restaurant and clearly no love or investment has been made by the owners to make this interior special. If they put some money into redoing the interior it would justify the price.

I had a great meal there last week. It was quite busy as it was the weekend but the staff were very attetive. The sushi rolls were really good and sashimi was large in portions. We're not too local otherwise would be regulars here.

This place only exists because it’s the only option. Poor ambience, sushi was soggy and pre-made, prawn tempura was cold and soggy. Tuna was mushy and minced. Only highlight was that the beer was good (Asahi).

Shame. Really built up from experiences of my friends- arrived early on a busy Friday evening but very slow service, incorrect order, barely any desserts and a funny attitude to the place. Food was certainly nice but nothing to write home about.Update- went this evening and had a wonderful meal, arrived after 8pm and had to be done by 9 but had a superb dinner with attentive service. Much improved.

Salmon sushi is amazing! Highly recommended it. The chicken yaki soba noodles were average, ill stick to the sushi for next time

Amazing food! Quite pricey, but really worth it as the portions are reasonable and the quality is great. Would 100% recommend!

We booked a table for 7 and I have to say, top to bottom, the experience was great. We ordered plenty of sushi across the menu, as well as the odd chicken katsu and everyone enjoyed their food.The sushi tasted and looked fresh, the staff were super polite and the layout felt authentic to Japan.Sure the menu items were on the pricey side but heck, it's sushi, you get what you pay for.
