Akash Tandoori in South Bucks

I eat a lot of Indian food and know what’s good and bad. This was bad. . This was my first visit since the new management in this restaurant . I was completely underwhelmed and left very disappointed. It’s expensive compared to other curry houses. Sag paneer was diabolical - steamed spinach with some chunks of paneer thrown in . Very very green and looked appalling , tasted terrible. Chicken madras - far too much black pepper in it. Mushroom rice - bland . And the chicken tikka masala tasted like it had 5 spoons of sugar in it. Naan was the superb though. We are spoilt for choice for Indian food in Burnham . I will not be returning here. And as for the service charge they add on the bill , that’s a Liberty and they need to remove this. It’s not right in an Indian restaurant . I can’t see this new management team lasting too long to be honest . The competition around them is head and shoulders above in terms of food/ service / and price .

Love this place we go as a family at least once a week. Especially found of the staff & the young waiter who works on Wednesday & Sundays very professional !

Originally visited back in December 21, when new owners had just taken over. Again visited on the the 12th April. The food was good quality , quick service, although a little pricey for some dishes. This is more upmarket than its previous incarnation & the other Indian restaurents in Burnham High Street.

Friendly, attentive staff. Brilliant selection on the menu. The food was lovely, great quality and well presented. Will definitely go back again or use for a take away.

It's now under new management and it's a big change for the better.Staff made me feel welcome and were friendly.Wonderful food, and was not made to feel like we should be eating all 3 courses in record time.Really enjoyed being here.This is now my favourite Indian restaurant.5 stars is not enough.I'll be back.

Very nice staff.we were in for a birthday very helpful and polite food was lovely.they could not do enough to make us comfortable. I would definitely go again.

Had a fabulous meal in the now newly managed Akash.Service brilliant 👏 Attentive & informative.Varid menu, the food not only looked amazing (wish I took photos) but was delicious.I would say a bit more high end then your average Indian restaurant in Burnham. Well worth the little extra cost. Will definitely be going back.

We were recommended to this restaurant by a friend of mine, I took my sister there for a meal and it was truly amazing, the quality and taste of the food was of the highest order and we met not only the chef and owner but the really nice brother who was helping out that evening..... a real family affair..... yes it was not the cost of a traditional indian restaurant but this is no ordinary indian restaurant...... if you decide to try it you would not be regret your decision and I cannot wait until my next visit.... 5 Star

Just had a fab meal with the family at Akash,The Staff are very friendly polite and catered to all our needs,The food is amazing, all 7 of us enjoyed what we ordered, good sized portions with plenty of flavour and a menu with dishes to expand your taste buds.So all in all, if you want good food and good service akash must be on your list to visit, you will be impressedThank you guys had a fab night

Must Go Place. Excellent food, authentic freshly prepared and made with love. The chief has worked in many renowned restaurants in India. The owner and staff such lovely people. 5+ Thank you Akash Restaurant for a lovely evening 😊 😋
