Big Bens Fish and Chips in South Bucks

Chips were utterly disgusting. Under cooked and nasty. The Fish was freshly made to be fair but not great. I asked for a "Large Fish and LARGE Chips". He put the fish in first then chips on top so you don't get your "Large" portion.Chap serving me had gross dirty nails which touched my food so I had to throw quite a few of them away anyway. Not such a big deal considering they tasted gross and I threw most of what was left away anyway.I don't understand the good reviews, I would not eat from here again and I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone.If there is one positive It would be that the bottled water that I purchased was not warm.In response to the owner's comment below, Yes I have had plenty of great takeaways, but to be fair unless it is exceptional I typically don't feel compelled to review it. I feel compelled however to review takeaways which I consider so bad that people should be warned. You say that you take my feedback seriously, yet your response does nothing to address any of the points I make, rather you turn it back on me implying that I am unreasonable and never satisfied. That's fine. This review should have been an opportunity for you to change and do better for your business but now it will stand as a warning to others with your own dismissal of my valid concerns only going to underscore my points and your lack of care for your own business.I thank you

Teŕible service and utterly rude only because I phoned back to tell them the food was cold. warm from the outside of the fish but ice cold from inside. Cooked. Like it was put in the microwave. Expected more as the reviews are good must be fake reviews as they gave me an extra portion of chips to write e a good review but I cannot lie. TRUTH IS THE TRUTH AND DO NOT EAT FROM THIS SHOP IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUT HEALTH. PLEASE SPENT A LOT OF MONEY FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY AND HAD TO BIN IT AND ORDER PIZZA INSTEAD.

Fresh fish and chips, cooked whilst u wait. Very delicious, non greasy absolutely mouth watering.

Very rude. Intimidating women. Swearing and shouting even though I was speaking reasonably. The food is inedible. And cold. And extremely rude customer service.

Best Fish and chip shop in the Slough or Burnham area tasty, good price and plenty of variety!!! The seafood basket is a must try on the menu!!! (Please note it is cash only)

Paid for Fish cake & chips & only received chips. I also ordered a side of curry sauce that looked inedible. Put a photo for people to see !?! Looks like lumpy baby food. Also only takes cash (in this climate). Would give no stars if I could. Another horrible chip shop.

Pie and Chips served with friendly Service as usual :-) Went down well on a damp November evening:....plus out of interest, scanned the bar code on the take away box with the WW App: Zero points - Result..!! (LOL)
