This hotel is CRAZY... on check in we were given a welcome glass of champagne, the receptionist took us to the suite we had booked, which was a converted barn. Stunning interior a little on the dark side with very low ceilings, that said it was stunning. At the rear of the hotel there is an outside swimming pool, the hotel has various pool parties on during the summer months. The restaurant is also fabulous with excellent food and professional service. Apparently a celebrity hang out.

Took my partner here last night for his 21st birthday, we got the groupon deal. We stayed in a superior double room, we had a glass of rose on arrival, and a bottle of champagne in our room. The decor in the rooms are lovely, feels very luxurious - the lighting however in the rooms are tricky so if you want nice makeup it’s a struggle! The water for the bath comes from the ceiling, and two people can fit in it. The only thing that disappointed us about the room was there is no kettle for tea/coffee in the morning, our TV went to black and white whilst watching and the air con isn’t great so I can imagine in the summer the rooms are stifling. We ate in the Thai restaurant, the food I must say was really lovely, prompt service and they even made a special effort with dessert for my partners birthday. There is a service charge on EVERYTHING you order, so if you are doing rounds of cocktails it can be very pricey - I’d recommend drinking the bottle you get with your room downstairs or just order a bottle to share! The breakfast you get with the deal is just continental, good enough if you’re not too hungry but if you want a full English you pay more. There is a £150 holding fee on your card when you arrive and gets released once they check the room. The atmosphere is very romantic and definitely a place to go for a special occasion. Overall we really enjoyed it, however be prepared to rinse your bank account!

It is must if you want to eat very very well. It's not only quality of food and service, it is also taste, amount, variety, quick, glorious clean, space between tables, decoration, toilets (what a gorgeous toilets) and perfect level of music. For that level of comfort the price is high but at least you know it is worth it. Anyway for the price is not massive, just more expensive than the rule. We are just that consumed by any other typical chains of restaurant that it is even weird to find a place as good as this.

Drove here all the way from Nottingham for our honeymoon. We got upgraded to a suite which was lovely, clean and amazed us at how well designed the room was.We always had great service from the staff, very helpful. We had steak which was the best steak we have ever experienced!13.5% service charge on everything, which was different to us but we didn't mind.Only downside is the breakfast that was included was just cereal, toast and a few bits of fruit, for a full English it was £16.95 I believe, but overall great experience with the room and the staff, made us feel at home, very comfortable and friendly.

What a great stay. The place is simply beautiful. Staff is polite, professional and really seem to like working there, which give the stay that feeling of staying at a small family run hotel, which is not! Great cocktails, enjoyed particularly as we were having it seating by the pool. So relaxing. Beautiful room, clean and quiet. Food though could be better. Breakfast was good too. Although not a big choice on the buffet. The cons is the location. If you don't have a car, get ready to live all your time in the hotel.

Lovely location, quirky interior design. Reasonably good service, BUT quality of food provided at our afternoon tea was poor. Scones were obviously microwaved and rock hard. Cakes were ordinary, sandwiches were fresh but the coronation chicken was probably prepackaged and very poor. The afternoon tea was certainly not worth the extravagant cost.

Very tasty 10 plate share menu, amazing sauces and beautifully presented food. Sharing dessert plate was soooooooo tasty! Nice atmosphere and pleasant staff. Be aware of high service charge! Easy to get to, nice bathrooms, interesting interior design and layout of the tables. Would definitely recommend and go back so Overall great experience 👍 👌 😊

Amazing decor, could spot easily at night with all the lights. If a busy night I would imagine parking an issue but not a problem the night we went. Food delicious, cocktails yummy. Not the cheapest place to eat but you are definitely paying for quality and service!

My review is based in sections really as some parts of our stay were fantastic and some not so good, hence 3 stars. To start with I have to say that when we arrived on the 18th Jan the staff at the front of house (especially Ellie) were brilliant. As the afternoon went on and into early evening all the staff we came across were more than happy to help with anything. They were friendly, very welcoming and were quick in their responses. The two guys behind the bar were also great, accommodating and friendly. I give the staff 5/5 stars for last night. The surroundings, lounge area and pool were very tranquil and had a relaxing atmosphere. The suite we had (room 30) was lovely, although we did notice a few problems along the way. I get the room had a romantic setting but as the time went on it would have been nice whilst getting ready to have an option for more lighting as it was wasn't enough for getting ready. It would have been nice to adjust the mood we wanted just for the evening. There was no drink setting in the room to make yourself a hot drink if needed. Although eventually I brought this up with the staff I was made a pot of tea and was then charged for it. This didn't feel right considering we had paid £499.00 for a package room from 4pm until 11am the next morning. In the evening and all through the night there was a humming and like a loud base noise running through the room which sounded like a car with base playing from the stereo, but there wasn't outside. It was definitely something in this part of the hotel. I brought this up on departure this morning and I was told that my feedback will be passed on for future reference and I didn't think that this was really acceptable. The staff were different this morning too.The food stated it was exceptional dining. This was not the case and was not what was excepted. The choice was limited for what was included unless you wanted to pay an extra charge. I had 3 scallops to start with and although it was a 3 course meal, it was an extra charge of just short of £10 on top for the starter. Now considering the value of the meal was around £110 for the fine dining, I expected a better quality of food for the main meal and dessert. I was disappointed and felt it was a let down. I would give this mornings customer service and the food from last night only 2 stars. Would I visit the Crazy bear again? I don't think I would. I can't fault last night's staff though as they were exceptional.
