Food ok. Service terrible. 7:30 reservation got main course at 9pm. Wait staff inexperienced and incompetent. Tepid response from owner to polite complaints.Having been here often can safely say never again!

The food was excellent with nice presentation, great quality and full of flavor. The waiting staff and owner make you feel very comfortable and look after all your needs. Nice music was played in the background and the overall ambience of the restaurant was great. Will definitely be coming back next time we are in the area

Shame that they did not live up to their previous ratings on Father’s Day. Weren’t ready to sit us at the time of booking, left standing at the bar with no information then directed to a makeshift table in an annexe of the restaurant. Waiting staff did not seem to have much experience in a restaurant - promised gluten free spaghetti but served up penne without informing us. The manager and staff appeared overwhelmed with the day, although there were at least 4 empty tables. All very odd. Also the food was underwhelming and on top of that a presumptuous service charge and no apology of any kind.

A group of us had an excellent meal at this restaurant and the service was exceptional too. We ordered from the daily special menu aswell as the main menu. The head of house, possibly the owner, told us in detail what was on offer and we weren't disappointed. The presentation was beautiful but more importantly the taste was amazing. We had a cheesecake starter, zucchini tempura, a fish patè along with the tortellini fatti and funghi risotto. The prices were very reasonable too. We will definitely visit again.

This restaurant is beautiful. In terms of the decor, the food and the service. My parents took me here for my birthday and I couldn't fault anything about our evening. I had the lobster and it was delicious! The owners and servers were so kind and friendly. We all left here extremely satisfied!

A very pleasant, friendly place. Food good but not exceptional. Carrots not scrubbed and presentation disappointing. But will go again though surprised it was rated as best Italian in area as the one in Denham village is better

We went for my best friends birthday last weekend. I have been looking for great Italian food and can definitely say this place did not disappoint. The lamb and chicken were done beautifully. My husband got dover sole as takeout and fussy as he is with fresh seafood ate it within mere minutes. I will definitely recommend to friends and family and going back soon!

Delicious meal at Di Paolo tonight. Never disappoints. Fresh and perfectly cooked. The Dover Sole served off the bone and not a bone on the plate anywhere. Service was perfect. If you haven't tried this restaurant in Gerrards Cross then you are missing out. Thoroughly recommended.

Our favourite Italian restaurant in Amersham closed. So my wife and I started to look for a new restaurant. We'll we have found it. Di Paolo in Gerrards Cross. A family run business with a real Italian menu. Our first meal here was for our 39th wedding aniversary. We most certainly were not disappointed, and we will be back many times in the future. Staff were very attentive and the owner and architect of the cuisine personal spent time with us on hearing our story. My wife is disabled and in a wheel chair and this was easily accessible. Frankly I can't praise this place enough, my wife likes steak well done and my calf liver pink, we were not disappointed, they even modified the desert to acknowledge our anniversary. This is no a chain or low budget establishment, but the food, service, and atmosphere were well worth it.

Went back to Di Paolo's for a 'date night' with my fiancé. We love this place, the staff are so attentive, nothing is too much to ask and the food is outstanding. I had fish soup for a starter (which was so fresh and full of flavour) and he had scallops with black pudding. For main, I had the liver and bacon (which was cooked to perfection and served with a wonderfully creamy mash) and he chose the lamb cutlets, which were equally delicious. Every time we leave we can't wait to go back!
