Dragon Inn in South Bucks

Cookham, beautiful village. Parking difficult. Comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast.

Nice location, nice service and also good food.

Maybe the best inn I went too !Food is spectacular, the service est amazing, inviting and charming.The night at the old side of the building are very picturesque!And the room are just perfect .Thank you for this moment.

Unfortunately this establishment is pricing itself on the food and historical reputation of the previous owners over the years and not the chain gastro pub it is today!On arrival the greeting from the bar staff was “You alright” !!!!The menu was totally uninspiring, 30 percent of which was unavailable!2 Lemon soles, with no flavour and unprofessionally filleted and 2 Ribeye steaks which were apparently “OK”, no starters or deserts or coffees, 4 bottles of mid price wine a total of £305.00!I’m happy to pay good money for good food, this equated to neither!

Absolutely superb. I was pleasantly surprised. We had trout with a crab sauce and it was a 10 out of 10. For me personally, Michelin level. The side dishes too which we had re broccoli and cabbage + apple salad were wonderful. This place is a must go to. Service superb, lovely venue inside too (difficult to park but a 10 out of 10 for me and my friends)

Visited for a lunch with some residents from a local care home. The staff were patient, attentive and seemed really happy to have us there, nothing was too much trouble. Cannot recommend them highly enough, it was a lovely afternoon.Visited again a week or two later for lunch with my mum and again, very attentive, friendly staff. Can't fault them and looking forward to visiting again soon.

Had a lovely 2 night break here. Staff were so lovely helpful and friendly. Breakfast and dinner excellent. Would definitely recommend

Fab food, yes it is expensive, but for a celebration it is worth it. The service you get and the way you are treated reflects the price. To me it's a special place for special occasions and they make you feel special so thumbs up from me!

We always enjoy going here. Food good. Atmosphere warm and helpful. We enjoy the combination of the ancient building and the subtle modernidation.

We DJed at Bel & Dragon for Sophie & Scott's wedding and had such a good night. A beautiful venue in Cookham. Rosie, Monique and all the staff were really helpful (shout out to Joe working on his birthday!). Looking forward to coming back soon!!
