Food was pretty banging! You won't be dissapointed..

Huge thank you to Jersey for yet another great stay over the last 2 nights and to Kelly and Antony for looking after us in the restaurant so wonderfully!! Such lovely, friendly easy-going service and smiles always! 👍 🍷Would highly recommend you visit, eat-drink and stay at the Ethorpe! 💕

Had a few drinks nice bartender well on the outside. Tipped her to appreciate the service. Forgot to order food and asked 3 minutes after the time and after a yawn was told computer says no! Genius. Had to laugh pretty much sums it up!

Enjoyed a very nice meal here. Good menu with varied choices, a lovely area to eat in, with very friendly and attentive staff. Maximum review rating for stocking a good selection of non-alcoholic wines. Service was very good, restaurant nicely decorated and furnished, nice clean toilets.

A group of us went for a meal for Mothers day and have to say, we were left unimpressed. It took 3 hours to get 3 courses from a pre set menu! Service was absolutely shockingly slow. A shame as the food was pretty decent (wouldn't say amazing, had a distinct lack of gravy, and the people who had the 3 meat roasts looked a bit short changed on meat). I should add the place wasn't busy, maybe 50% capacity so really no excuses really.

Good food and good value. Friendly welcoming staff.Please give yourself plenty of time for your meal as it is as it says on the menu "a leisurely lunch"

Visited Friday 4th March, lovely atmosphere ,beautiful open fire, attentive staff, now the down side I ordered prawn cocktail, the prawns were raw or vey undercooked if at all, on complaint I was assured that they don’t cook them on the premises they come in frozen in the bag!I couldn’t eat any, I was concerned they were raw, I am a seafood fan and eat seafood especially prawns quite a lot so I know these were not right, the waiter accepted my request for a complimentary glass of wine.instead of a refundI won’t hurry back though

The staff were brilliant. They really looked after me.The breakfast and evening food were fantastic.Unfortunately, the room was a bit rubbish. There was a smell coming from the wing that the room was located. The headboard was flaking on my bed.

We booked the hotel last minute and decided to eat at the restaurant as we arrived quiet late, so glad we made the decision to have food here and we were blown away the most amazing food here tonight, portion sizes were great, food presentation was well executed and the quality of the food was exceptional! The best pub food I've ever tasted and brilliant prices too! Staff were all really helpful and friendly aswell! We travelled from Essex, and we are already planning when to come back! Thank you 😊

We stayed here and it was overall a very pleasent experience with friendly staff and great food in the restaurant area. We had 1 evening meal and 2 breakfasts. As said the food was totally fantastic and I would recommend even if you're passing to try it out. The only criticism was that on the morning of the 2nd breakfast my wife realised there was lipstick on the glass containing orange juice. She wasn't wearing any lipstick so she knows it wasn't hers. In these days of Covid, I'm sorry but this is unacceptable, but this was the only negative issue. The room was ok but slightly dated. The window safety catch had been broken but as we had no children, no big deal of them falling out the window. The PAT test date on the TV expired in 2019 but once again not an issue to us but might be to the establishment in the event of a fire. We liked it here and the staff worked tirelessly and full credit to them but little things as noted above takes away from the overall experience. We would recommend this place on the whole but check that the orange juice glass has been washed correctly!!!
