Love the decorations, lovely staff. I've given the place 3 tries , terrible food . Last night was over cooked dry and tastless I sent a dish back , I've never done that ever. ÂŁ10] bill for 4 people . Money badly spent .

A group of ladies together for a catch up. Food was excellent and enjoyed by all. However, service was very slow, meals did not come out together and food was left to go cold whilst we waited for everyone to be served. When we asked how long food was going to be, the response was unhelpful and an example of poor service - left my friend feeling very uncomfortable. And our waitress was just sullen - looked like she wanted to be anywhere else but in the job!The saving grace was the general manager who gave us our bill at the end of the lunch. I gave her feedback on the poor service, which she received gratefully - I work on the basis that of you don't know then you can't do anything about it.I hope things improve because the food really was very good.

Everytime we go to Jack and Alice's its great, the staff are always all welcoming and helpful, the food is first class, high quality, the portion sizes are just enough it actually feels like you've had a meal.Well done guys please don't change a thing you've got it just perfect 👍

I ordered a take away. Whether the system was glitching or what I didn’t receive I confirmation email until the time it was supposed to be picked so I didn’t know if it had gone through. When I went to pick it up I went to the hatch and pressed the button. A lady walked past and I assumed she hadn’t noticed so I pressed the button again. She walked past again so I knocked on the window and she still ignored me so I walked in where the staff were rather cold and judging. The food was okay they do good burgers but the chips were rather soggy. Much nicer places with nicer staff to get take aways from.

First time visiting Jack and Alice. Service was friendly and fast. I had the full English which was perhaps one of the best I've ever had. Perfect size and you can tell it's made using good quality ingredients. My wife had a ham and cheese toastie which I admit I stole half off and it was incredible. Highly recommend a visit.

Lovely food and great service. Also reasonably priced given the location. Great gluten free and vegan options as well. Really enjoy coming here.

Don’t get the ribs. Clearly boiled with a sh*tty amount of bbq sauce thrown on top. Ribs taste like they just came out from a dishwasher. Wrong beer served. Cheese fondue went down well and service was serviceable. Had a lovely breakfast another time here. Seems like a good place for a quick drink, not a meal.

Lovely staff and nice place. Had brunch there, it was luke warm and average. Was really looking forward to the pancakes but they were doughy, hollandaise sauce was runny and tasteless. Maybe it was a bad day, perhaps I will try again.

Lovely independent eaterie, nice selection of dishes and cocktails! We had a late booking today and they accommodated 4 of us for lunch. Pancakes with mixed Berry's and Greek meze is amazing!

My partner and I visited this past weekend for a few drinks and a bite to eat before going to the cinema. We both really enjoyed the laid back, slightly quirky vibe inside and they have a great list of wines, including taster flights, and food. While I don’t usually opt for junk food, I tried the vegan hot dog which was really enjoyable, while my partner really liked his fried chicken. Service was friendly and good, and their prices are very reasonable. We’ll definitely pop in here again soon, as we visit the cinema across the road quite often.
