La Palma Italian Restaurant in South Bucks

Excellent meal. Decent service. Plenty on the menu for all tastes. My daughters 13th birthday and she tried her first non alcoholic cocktail the la palma which was delicious. Sat outside on the terrace as such a warm evening. Would highly recommend

A must to visit..staff ..chef .. owner charming.. had one of the specials ate really inexpensive price .. it was 7star food .. the location should not put you of... truly outstanding..thank you ...

Great restaurant tucked away in Iver Heath. Very clean with decent table spacing pubs and outdoor area. Staff are welcoming and friendly and make you feel at home. The owner is nearly always on site and very friendly with customers.....he makes you feel that you are a valued customer. They are knowledgeable about the menu if you want advice about the dishes. Its delicious food, cooked freshly and served piping hot.....nice to be able to see the chefs in the kitchen. It gets very busy in evenings as such a great place to eat so advise making reservation on their website.

So we ordered starters and cocktails. Great. Then mains … they all came out at different times and my friends did not come out at all. When questioned staff first said delays, then 10 minutes later were like oops the chef forgot it’ll be another 10 minutes. No apologies, just lots of huffing and puffing like they didn’t want us to be there in the first place. Having just moved into the area this was such a disappointing experience as other diners seemed ok. Noticeably we were a non-white table. Who knows. Friend didn’t get her meal as chef had forgotten and the experience put here off… so we just left - We paid full price and left. We’re all avoiding this place … you can do what you like. Not even sure the staff clocked what they did wrong cos they were so disinterested.

Have been here a few times in the past and had really nice food and good service but last night has changed my mind and I don’t think I will be visiting againThe service was very slow waiting 25 mins for the first drinks to arrive at the table and that was only going to the bar to ask when they would be coming and this continued through the eveningThe mushroom starter was very bland and wateryThe steak fillet was very tasty but with 2 roasted new potatoes cut in half and a 1/4 carrot with a couple of runner beans Was not substantial enough to justify the £25.95 price tag and had to order a side of chips to subside my hungerOn serval occasions across the evening I found my self waving at staff to get there attention as they were to busy standing around talking at the bar.At the end of the evening we spoke to the owner / manager to quietly inform him of some of the problems that we had throughout the evening for him to become very unprofessional and started accusing us of not wanting to pay the bill. Which was never the case I even told him to check his cctv that was pointed at our table so he could see the evidence for himself.Unfortunately I left with a sour taste in my mouth due to his behaviour in the way that he dealt with the situation. It will also show that I was calm throughout and was not irritated as you claimedG. Shows you being the aggressive person not just towards me but to females in the party2. I have never not paid for what I have eaten3. I would not have written a review at all if you had kept claim and had just listened to the comments being made by people in the party, this is called customer service and you should be equipped to take Criticism when a paying customer speaks to you with out trying to make the feel small or not Worthy of eating in your Establishment4. The main reason you got a 1 star review was down to you and not the food or the slow service

We visited la Palma for dinner last night and after 25 minutes of waiting I walked up to the bar to ask if we could order our drinks. The quality of the food has substantially declined, my mushroom starter was watery and flavourless. The bruschetta starter was horrible compared to the one I had a few months back. Prices were higher then advertised online. The owner was agitated, rude and unprofessional. Very disappointed as this was one of my favourite places to eat before last night.

The food was good . Pizza was overloaded with chunks of chicken pieces which was the only issue other than that everything is alright. Should try out this place its decent enough.

Place was a bit small. Very loud and the steak was very over cooked. But I hear its lovely in the summer when you can sit outside... The price is a bit over the top and the staff were really slow. But they were super polite My starter was incredible. The place was very clean
