Lake House Cafe in South Bucks

Where is Lake House Cafe?

🏠 Amerden Ln, Taplow, Maidenhead SL6 0EA

"We are an independent, family run cafe established in 2016. We take pride in our personable customer service and integrate locally sourced products into our menu. We are very fortunate that our cafe over looks Taplow Lake, which looks beautiful in all seasons. There is plenty to do at Taplow Lake, whether it's just coming for a coffee, beer or bite to eat, or having a go at the water sports we have on offer."

Food is nice but took ages to arrive, the service is ok wish you could arrange the table better near the lake because there was a space to move the table but they just didn't despite asking.

Our regular haunt when we're at home. Perfect setting by the lake, menu is regularly updated and expanded. And the folks who run it are just awesome. I just wish it could be open 24/7 :-)

One of best places to have a coffee or beer. The view of the lake is awesome. The staff is friendly. Options for food are also good although I didn't have anything at the time. Highly recommended for anyone in around Maidenhead

Always love our visits to the lake, such great service from the friendly team, delicious food and relaxing setting. You guys kept us going through lockdown and continue to provide happiness every time we visit!

The cafe is just ideal, perfect place to break away from normality. A wonderful bunch of people runs it, produce exceptional high quality food at a very reasonable price. Above all they are as friendly as it gets.A super convivial place that I can't praise enough.

Hidden gem. Lovely food right by the lake.

Found this family run business by accident while out cycling, was only going to stop for a coffee but after seeing the food on the other customers plate I ended up having a full breakfast. Plentiful and well cooked. I mean it wasn’t ‘over’ cooked.Staff was friendly and helpful. You can sit inside the cafe or out on the decking over looking the lake. I’ll be stopping there again on my cycling trips in the near future.

The location is the biggest selling point here. We visited in the sunshine and it was such a beautiful spot to relax for brunch and a catch up. Bit expensive and not the easiest to find - down a narrow track that I would never have found if it wasn't for Google maps! Food was tasty and they serve tea in the cutest little cups. Service was also good.

I honestly can't fault this place. On the lakefront, a sunny day; fantastic. The food is very good and good value. The paninis were crisp on the outside and soft and delicious on the inside. I had the cheddar, mozzarella and ham. My partner had Portobello mushroom with cheese and spinach. Both were tasty and the side salad was good. We also shared the rustic cheesy chips. I have to say this is where the cafe shone - they were absolutely delicious and I would return just for them or the chips on their own, for that matter. The chips are so crisp and delicious.I hope this helps some people if they are thinking about visiting. My advice is go, if just for the chips!
