Monk Restaurant in South Bucks

Great restaurant with great food. A lot of the dishes are unique and not what you can find in your usual indian restaurant. Staff are fantastic. Lots of vegetarian options.

We booked Monk for Father’s Day. Dad and Mum had been before and had thoroughly recommended it so we made the journey. The food itself is lovely, if small in terms of portions, but the service is some of the worst I’ve ever experienced.I had to ask for menus, water and our mains were over 90 mins late with a half full restaurant. No apologies or acknowledgement, and the waiter was extremely abrupt throughout service. We will not be going back and such a shame considering the food was worth it.Not recommended for large groups or dinner service - the food isn’t enough to earn anything more than one more star on what would have been a one star review.

The food and service is excellent, some of the best food I have eaten

We called 40 minutes before arrival to book a table for two, on a Saturday night. Very efficient service and very focused staff, they were able to book us a table even though they were so busy.The ambiance was so lovely and the food was amazing! We ordered mixed grill, Sindhu aloo, sorkha Khutte and lamb momo, all amazingly tasty and the momo were so juicy!The staff were so professional and doing amazingly well on a busy night!I couldn’t recommend enough Monk Restaurant! You guys are doing a great job! Keep up the good work! Dhanyabad! 🙏

Such an amazing, authentic Nepalese restaurant. Do book a table, as it gets very busy and fills in quickly. Friendly staff, delicious food, huge portions and reasonable prices-you simply can’t ask for more. We will happily visit again. Highly recommended.

Very disappointed with our delivery order from Monk yesterday. The order was placed at 7.30, received a call from the restaurant alerting me that they were very busy so the delivery would only arrive at 8.45. Ok acceptable on a Saturday night. However the driver knocked at my door at 9.30 and the food was completely cold, I mean not even just warm. £38 worth of food, pretty inedible as at that time of night I was not in the mood to go and reheat food! IF YOU CANT CATER FOR YOUR ORDERS, STOP TAKING THEM!

Lovely local restaurant! Excellent food, service and value for money. Would highly recommend and look forward to returning soon!
