Very dissapointed. Big name but food was average. Gnocchi overcooked. Sirloin steak should be med-rare. Had 'super' well done (£37). Service extremely slow. 1 star (cant rate with '0'). Desserts ok. Not reccomended. Bill for 2 (£200) no worth it. Will never back again.

Impromptu breakfast while out riding. Great service and superb food. Loved the mushrooms (in thyme and garlic apparently) especially but all excellent.

Really enjoyed our experience here on a Thursday night. All courses are excellent, wine by the glass was one of the best wines by the glass I've had. It's not the cheapest but as locals we'll definitely be back. Only shame is it's not at all dog friendly

Deliciously exceeding expectations from Roux. Best Sunday roast in the area for me. Veggies & Vegans have well thought out dishes. The Cheese souffle starter was perfection. Weekend breakfast also available, superb eggs benedict, health drinks & classic croissants.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. 2 hours were given per table - which is a nice amount as you are then not rushed out like a lot of places in London. The food was very nice - went in as a table of 4, and each part from starter to dessert was very nice. The views are very nice tooHaving moved to Taplow, will visit again.

Visited for Sunday lunch and was very impressed. We were made to feel welcome by all of the staff we interacted with - warm and friendly yet efficient and professional. The food was excellent, enjoyed in pleasant surroundings overlooking the river. Crispy roast potatoes and very tasty chicken. If I was to be fussy I’d say that a green vegetable (perhaps some green beans or tender-stem broccoli) would have just made it the meal more complete - a suggestion rather than a criticism and there was small portion of spinach under the chicken breast so not completely devoid of green veg. Will certainly be back! 😃

Amazing food and great service. The cheese souffle was to die for and the lamb perfectly cooked. Dessert of choux buns was pretty good too! Lovely view over the river. Well worth a visit.

·

Excellent experience, ask for a seat near the window to fave over the river as you enjoy exceptional food in a relaxed atmosphere. Upstairs there is a beautiful covered patio offering a great view and a breeze.

The bar area on the first floor is great! Must visit when there, so is the garden downstairs. I am so pleasantly amazed that they have not brought down the boathouse and local boatyard on its left. It adds so much character. The food was not as great as expected, unfortunately when visiting a place of any famous chef, you tend to have expectations. Sometimes unrealistic, the atmosphere is good and they are child friendly. Booking in advance is advised, especially on sunny days. In addition make sure if you are going by river, you have checked the draft as well as river height.

We enjoyed a great Sunday lunch with our children at Roux at Skindles recently in the upstairs bar area. Delicious food, attentive service and a fabulous view made it a very enjoyable experience and we look forward to returning soon.
