We sat in one of the pods. It was such a sunny day thought we would feel like we were in a greenhouse, but huge fan in there so that kept us cool. Food amazing. Looking at diary for next free day to return!

Situated in a lovely village and is picturesque. Staff are friendly and food is good. It is freshly prepared and tasty. There is a good selection of produce in the farm shop. Well worth a visit

The service is very quick and efficient, the staff adorable, and the food delicious (we had the lemon sole: it was beautifully seasoned and cooked to perfection)

Nice clean premises and food was good. Very welcoming staff for both animals and people. Pity the choice of beers wasn't brilliant though.Would certainly go again and also visit the farm shop.

Fantastic staff first of all! The room was magnificent. I think we'll above average for this type of establishment. The bathroom was lovely too.The food downstairs was excellent too. Well within my budget.

Well....if I'm honest! The room was ok. Large 4 poster bed that was comfortable, obviously an old building and appreciate it's hard for things to be perfect. Our room rate was £170 per night. While in the room I checked to see if breakfast was included in this price but it wasn't, I then noticed that the room rate for next week was £140 and April was £100. I think the value for money is there for £100 but definitely not for £170 so do feel I've been hugely over charged. I did want to make coffee in the room with the advertised Nespresso machine but there were no coffee pods!In an effort to see if we could get breakfast we were told by the cleaner that breakfast could be purchased in the attached farm shop. We ordered, 2x scrambled eggs on toast (arrived to the table cold) 1x eggs Benedict (smallest muffin in the world, cold poached eggs and cold sliced ham), 1x egg and sausage baguette (didn't arrive at all until we asked where it was and then it came with undercooked eggs)! My son and his new wife (that day!) Stayed in the room next door. He payed when booking and then got charged again when his best man checked him in! He did get a refund! It's a shame I had to be negative as the property itself offers much more than most places in the area.I'd be very happy if my son and myself had only paid £100 each as this is what I think would have been the right price.

Our server, Lois, was outstanding. Great location, within easy reach of Pinewood studios. Next time we visit we will pre-book the very romantic and cosy looking outdoor pods with outside heating, fairy lights and table service. What more could anyone want?

Went for Sunday lunch 19/03/22......easily the worst Sunday roast I've been served..... Beef was an oily pile of fat..... The pork was absolutely swimming in oil.... Push your fork on it and oil came pouring out of it..... Hard poorly cooked potatoes that seemed days old.... I was able to eat the chicken and Yorkshire pudding.... Very disappointed and I wouldn't even feed that meat to my dog..... Black horse sort your act out.....

Ended up having to make an unexpected stop for dinner and was pleasantly surprised by the food. Amazing home cooked chips, grilled chicken and beef salad. The premises are lovely, and ample parking on offer. The farm shop on premises was a nice fresh change from the usual dreary shopping markets. A decent selection of local produce for sale. Bought some potatoes.
