The Chequers Inn at Wooburn Common in South Bucks

Restaurant only for birthday lunch : Toughest ribeye steak I have ever encountered and the beer (Rebellion IPA) hadn't settled. Manager quick to tell me it was a new barrel which I couldn't dispute but the beer was still cloudy. Ate al fresco but not ideal with tables set in the car park and road traffic passing close by. Staff were polite and attentive but not intrusive.

Nice pub with superb rooms - some newly built with great food and nice atmosphere. Great location for exploring local landmarks like Marlow, Cliveden etc. Very friendly staff.

Very pleasantly surprised. Booked here on our way to the Pub in the Park in Marlow. Cute, English pub immaculately kept with very comfortable rooms. Fantastic service, very friendly, and a nice in-house restaurant if you need it.

Great venue for buffet lunch for 28 people , private room tasty hot and cold food excellent service and great beer (Rebellion). Highly recommend.

Great location. It's beautiful, quiet and good for walking / car access to the high street, open areas and other places to visit. The swimming pool was warm and a good size. Staff are friendly and obliging, if a bit over stretched. Breakfast a tad average.The beds need mattress protectors or more to enhance the comfort

Perfect place for sightseeing, nice service, clean and quiet environment. Rooms are much more than 3 stars, mini bar available. Lobby with TV, coffee, printer and laptop.Bed amazingly comfy.(I was in new part)Available WiFi.Restaurant very pleasant, service very friendly and fast, there was 70% occupancy and we did not wait too long.Delecious potted shrimps and pork fillet, I loved it, hamburger was huge!I can highly recommend, will come back again for sure.

Food and service here is excellent. I look forward to coming here for lunch every year. Real pity they have put buildings and car park where the beer garden used to be. Not so great to eat in the sun a few feet from the road in the car park.

We went for dinner - often do, which says it all really. Love this place. Great service, great food. Atmosphere always good.

Lovely location and setting, not very good for vegetarians: only 2 menu choices. Food looks nice but not as tasty as it looks. Lovely service though and a nice experience nonetheless.

Generally good. We were here last week and the service was much better and more friendly. Last night, one person who served us we felt was a bit abrupt and was rushing so much, he forgot to interact with us. Food was fine though.
