Heard mixed things about the Crooked Billet. Went there Sunday afternoon and it was a great Hungry Horse. Plenty of space, seating available, food available and ever-so friendly staff. Would recommend.

Doesn’t even deserve one star !!Took over 100 minutes for our food to arrive (when ordering told would be 30 minutes) and it all to be wrong and an entire dish missing. We informed our waitress and waited another 10 minutes for 1 out of 3 wrong meals. We then asked about the other two and they said we only had one pending. Despite seeing we were extremely dissatisfied with our meal then proceeded to say well you’ll have to come up and pay for the meal she had forgot to put through the till. When we then said we are not paying for the additional meal she then got sarcastic and said well it’s not my fault. Considering the restaurant had a total of 5 tables the service is completely unacceptable and for her to suggest to then pay for her mistake was an insult. We have gone here before and previously had very good experiences but can certainly say we will not be returning.

Came here for a family function about 12 of us they put us in a side area plenty of space for the kids to run around and very reasonably priced but as for the food well I suppose you get what you pay for I don't think anybody on our table was happy with the quality personally I had the mix grill most of which was ok but the pineapple was burnt the chicken was like mash you could squash it with your fork and most of the dishes where swimming in grease and or burnt no one finished there meal to be honest though no one made a complaint as I think they would of had to replace every meal we just paid and left but will definitely not be returning.

If you want breakfast, go to Toby carvery. We've tried to come for Sunday breakfast at least twice over past month and they just leave doors locked and don't answer phone. We went to Toby Carvery in Langley instead and had a much better experience

Have visited with friends quite a few times recently & been satisfied. However yesterday evening was very disappointing. Some food on menu not available. Staff seemed to be having issues operating tills. Long wait for mains. When ordering dessert, staff allowed someone to jump the queue ahead of me. After waiting 25 minutes for dessert to arrive we had to leave as the long delays at the tills & serving the food had made us late leaving to get to the theatre. When I asked for our dessert order to be cancelled the girl did not apologise & just left us to fetch the manager which delayed us even further. He came & refunded our money & did apologise but all without even looking at us. Will not be returning & neither will our friends.

For a cheap meal out, Hungry Horse pubs are great. You get what you pay for, like everything in life. Good range of pub grub options, cooked well and decent helpings. Great value for money. Four of us shared the large dessert.

Staffing very attentive and helpful.. menu short of items like the fish and it was a Friday visit.Items were appealing but somewhat disappointed with the plated results. I was looking forward to dirty fries but the flavour I ordered was out of stock and my second choice results of string cut chips under a solid coat of melted cheese just never worked. ÂŁ5-50 (most expensive brand) for a pint of lager, no real ale not their market, I could understand that but no tap alternative... wetherspoons as usual for our next family outing

I had an issue where my car broke down this evening near the Crooked Billet. I went inside the pub and the 3 staff that I spoke to (Tyler, Roxanne and Georgina?) Were extremely welcoming and helpful, understood my predicament and I felt very at ease. The service, food and drink was excellent but what made it go that extra mile for me to write a review was the hospitality of the lovely 3 staff that I encountered.

Went here for my birthday with my partner that's disabled and a couple of friends and we all really enjoyed our meals and drinks. Very pleasant atmosphere and staff. Thanks for a lovely afternoon at your restaurant.
