Nice pub near the forest, friendly service. And good food and beer.

Brilliant little pub, both dog- and child-friendly. We had dinner there, and the food was both tasty and plentiful, and very reasonably priced. Finally, and deserving of special mention were how incredibly polite and helpful the staff were. We've promised ourselves to drive out there again at some point.

Felt very welcome before we got though the door service and acceptance was acceptanabel with staff and costumers with wheelchair nothing was to much trubel food was more than expected lamb so tender melt in the mouth big up to the team thank you for making our day fabulous best meal and birthday experience ever thanks so much willCome back

Burger was over cooked and dry, I asked for no onion in my meal, but received onion in the side salad. Service was poor; no sauces offered, we had to keep flagging down the waiter for drinks orders, half the table was cleared then the guy got distracted and came back 20 mins later to clear the rest. Due to slow service we had no time for tea/coffee/dessert. We allowed 2 hours for a team lunch of 8 people. We only managed 1 course!

Beautifully presented pub with the right kind of rustic feel. It was a very quite Wednesday visit. Yet the team where friendly and hospitable. The food was a tasty pub fyre that went well with the authentic pub feel. Defo recommend

Been there recently. Nice place but they said, no food. Rude staff. they weren't even looking at us but busy with their social world on their phones and looks at us like we owe them something . lol. We wanted to stop somewhere for a bite to eat before we arrived at the hotel we were staying in. We were so impressed. The light bite we ordered was huge and arrived with chips. Value was brilliant and lovely wine on offer. The outdoor seating is comfortable and the surroundings are pleasant. Staff were really friendly and welcoming and the service exceeded expectations. If we're ever in the area again we will be stopping for another lovely meal.

Had lunch there today with my toddler , teen and fiancé. Very friendly and helpful staff. Food was amazing, beer battered fish was HUGE! Loverly seating outside and the horses out the back was a added bonus. Will be returning again soon!

Just had the most amazing Sunday dinner. There were 6 of us and every one of us agreed it was the best we'd ever had. Staff were friendly, efficient and accommodating. I'm a vegetarian, so they cooked my yorkshires separately to avoid the animal fat and I was given my own gravy for the same reason. Even the price was amazing at roughly £35 a head including alcoholic drinks and a starter. There was so much food we've taken 2 doggy bags home. We'll definitely go again and would thoroughly recommend.

Really great. The set up they have put in post Covid is really top class. Food is better than before - the owners must have really got involved.Great job guys. Best of luck over the next 6 months. And see you soon.—————————-Just been back and had the best steak of my life. Awesome place.
