Nice pub with a great beer garden, well worth a visit, but visited again on 15th April, like said before great beer garden, but again very let down by the amount and quality of the food, ordered sharing nachos with pulled pork, well to me it was a very small portion, also they werent even cooked, see photo, but I couldn't believe how my complaint was handled by a member of management, no real apology, in fact a very poor customer service, such a shame as most of the staff are really welcoming and friendly.

Such community minded spirit. Yhr staff work hard to ensure customers are happy. It's a great space. Food cheap and cheerful and drinks well stocked, chilled, a great selection and lines well maintained. All round good atmosphere and good for families.

We visited on a Sunday night , only two tables taken . We were informed that all burgers were off, gammon was off , Camembert starter was off !The real ales advertised were not available. We enjoyed our staters but when it came to the main course we all chose the Sunday roast . This was chunks of meat and veg thrown on a plate with insipid Yorkshire puddings and all of it was tepid !The waitresses were friendly and helpful but it was a shame about the food.

This pub has a lovely atmosphere. A lot of care has gone into the look. The staff are all friendly and happy to help with dietary requirements. The food is delicious and most importantly the drinks are great too. We keep coming back for more. We'll done Laura and the team.

I visited the pub with my church group on Saturday and we all had a lovely meal, the lamb shank was so delicious and so was everybody else's food. The bar man Charlie was such a great help and looked after us. This is a lovely pub just off the High streat I would recommend to everyone.

Christmas dinner at the Old Five Bells, excellent service, generous portions, Christmas pudding was particularly good. This was our first Christmas dinner out, and, based on this experience, would do it again. All the staff were fantastic. Despite being very busy, they carried on smiling and made sure everyone was well looked after. Well done to you all, and Happy Christmas.

We had family lunch 5th of December. We have been served by a lovely lady; I think her name was Olivia - she was amazing all staff was amazing:)The dishes were so tasty; we had sharing platter to start with and then Mussels with fries and Hunters chicken and a usual for little one cheese pizza. Also the waiting time for the food was just perfect :)They got very good prices for the amount of the food and quality.

Nice Period Building, this pub is well run by hardworking Manager Laura Crawford who leads a great team. She understands what constitutes a good Pint of Real Ale and won’t serve it if it’s not up to scratch. Great food at reasonable prices. In all a well run community village family pub with large child friendly Garden.
