Bird in Hand in South Oxfordshire

Had lunch here today. A very nice restaurant with friendly staff, good service and a varied menu and specials board. The meal was excellent and The Bird in Hand is very deserving of it’s five star rating. Will visit again.

Exceptional place! The staff are incredibly friendly and accomodating, the pub is fantastic as is the food, and the rooms we stayed in were great. We loved the beautiful location in the countryside and the breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Highly recommend, will defo be back :)

This place is well worth a visit! We've stayed twice and booked in again in December tho we will prob visit again before. There are so many excellent things at this hotel , food is exceptional and a good portion , rooms are spacious and clean, lots of parking a really lovely calm inviting atmosphere as soon as you walk in. But the best thing is how lovely all the staff are nothing is too much trouble they are a credit yo the boss!!!

Food was excellent and room was outstanding very clean and tidy. All you need for a weekend away or travelling with work. The whole experience was brilliant and will 100% be returning.

To say this place in wonderful is to say nothing. Michelin food quality, best service, beautiful rooms … . Totally in love with this place. Will definitely be back.

Both rooms and restaurant very clean, very quiet and nice and warm. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and dog friendly. Food is excellent and comes in large portions. Great selection of beers too. Tonnes of parking.

Lovely hotel, very spacious room with good size bathroom. Everything very clean and well presented.Well situated for getting to Oxford using Park & Ride. Pleasant staff, lovely breakfast with lots of choice.Highly recommend to anyone, you won't be disappointed.

We had wonderful time staying at the Bird in Hand, warm and friendly owner and staff team. We were made welcome from start to finish, looking forward to returning to this hotel.

Do yourself a favour and visit this lovely restaurant in Whiteoak Green. The service is unmatched. The staff truly care about your experience and when you are dealing with 25 ladies aged 50-90 who haven't really seen each other for the best part of 18 months, and are chattering nineteen to the dozen that is pretty awesome! The food was absolutely amazing and all 25 meals were served hot & at the same time - no mean feat. Absolutely nothing to fault. Highly recommended.

The first thing to say was how welcoming and friendly the staff were. We were staying for a couple of nights for a special family occasion and they looked after us superbly.The food was exceptional and a big thanks to the guys in the kitchen.
