Friendly staff and tasty fresh sandwiches. Only criticism is that they could do with more veggie/vegan options.

I have recently joined a company at Harwell Science and Innovation Campus and am working my way around the few locations that sell food.Unfortunately, today, I bought my first and last sandwich from Bloomers.Although the sandwich tasted nice, I was horrified when I saw that the sandwiches were being made by staff not wearing any gloves; seeing the salad being picked up and squashed down onto the sandwich by hand was disgusting - I am just as disappointed in myself for not walking out, but I can only put that down to me being so surprised that this had occurred. What a shame that the hygiene standards are so poor and that myself and my colleagues will not be going back.

Always friendly, good food, good prices. Portions assume you haven't eaten in about 3 weeks, I remain permanently defeated by the slabs of cake!

Some of the reviews here are completely unfair. I've been coming here for 8 years and this is a solid sandwich shop with a good variety. No it isn't gourmet but the bread and fillings are freshly made. The complaints about the staff are well wide of the mark. I also don't understand the complaints about the prices - what margins do people think are to be had in the sandwich business?

A small shop that packs a punch! Worth the price and trip out no matter the weather. I have removed my last review because it was too harsh on this small business and the ladies that work for it. Yes the board is slightly outdated when fully open (pre-covid). However I decided to give it a second chance yesterday and I am glad I did! Fantastic food and polite staff. For such a small business they are doing everything they can to stay open by following the rules, being cautious and the cleanliness is obvious. The staff are a credit to the owner and the brownies are one in a million.

The only difference between Dick Turpin and this Sandwich bar is that Dick Turpin wore a mask. The sandwiches are overpriced. I paid £4.45 for a sandwich which had hardly any filling. They didn’t even have any salad to put in it only cucumber. The bread was also stale. Staff are not very friendly. You learn from your mistakes. I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody. Absolutely Aweful...

The sandwiches are so over priced. You hardly get any filling, all of the staff are miserable (at best they barely talk to you!) and incredibly slow. I have been a few times over a period of 6 months hoping it was a one off but no. It's always this bad, avoid at all costs if you don't want to be ripped off!
