Very poor delivery, 2.5 hours wait, not good enough

Our Chinese takeaway of choice, we have sampled most of the others in Didcot.Easy to order on the Just Eat app and have the option for collection or delivery. Normally we have collection as its quicker, around 20 to 30 minutes.Prices are reasonable, although we normally have enough left over for the following day, which makes the price even more competitive. In store service is friendly and as yet we have never had a problem with an order.Over the last year or so the food quality has remained very consistent, a high level may I add, which is very good.A takeaway from Choi's is well worth it.

Fantastic restaurant with very kind owners. Just eat screwed up my delivery (not the drivers fault but a system issue) they tried blaming it on the store who was also innocent. I turned up to the restaurant just as they were closing and they worked out there end what happened. Despite closing at 22:00 the family who runs the restaurant cooked my order after closing time. Very kind of them to do this given they had closed and none of this was they’re fault and they did this for free. Thank You Chois, btw the dinner was perfect very tasty!Will be returning just not via JustEat…

Still probably the best Chinese in Didcot, but can't recommend it. Quality getting worse over time. Very high prices.

Good food we always order from here. They always let you know how long the wait is and deliver in that time

We have been ordering from Choi's for years but this latest order was terrible, I'm not sure whats changed but we wont be going back to find out, so time to find a new Chinese Takeaway.I'm not sure if its Lockdown or what?Chicken curry was incredibly salty and hardly had any curry or spice to it.Egg fried rice was hard, under cooked with just a hint of fried egg.2 lots of ribs that not even the dog (trash can on legs) was interested in, they were all just fat and grease hardly any meat at all.The only good bit was the sweet chilly chicken which was excellent and the chow mein.

Unfortunately we will not be ordering from here back to China garden just up the road. Soggy spring roll, burn taste to wonton and seaweed. Overall not a very good meal and was told 40min wait and had to wait overall 1hr 30min. Sorry 😞 we will not be reattending

Don't understand what's gone wrong here. Ordered from chois for years. Food is generally good but service has taken a nosedive of late. Ordered on new New year's Eve to be told it would be a 2 hour turnaround, 3 hours later dinner arrives but only a partial order, didn't see the point in composing about a portion of prawn toast. New year is a busy time so give them the benefit of the doubt. Ordered again this weekend, advised 45 minutes to an hour. Nearly 2 hours later food arrives, not hot, sauce all in the bag. Sorry guys but no chance of another order until you get your act together. Choi's are on just eat but never available at weekends, just goes to show that they have failed to deliver on the back of their success and reputation.

The good, the bad and the ugly that's how to describe Choi's. When the order is for 3 people or less, the food is fine, the service is quick and no problems are to be seen. Whereas when the order is for more than 3 people (which isn't a big amount at all) there always seems to be a problem. Not so long ago, I ordered a chicken and sweetcorn soup, to then be disappointed with a chicken and noodle soup which looked and tasted like something I would feed my dog, that could just be me though. Enough said, Choi's is an extremely nice takeaway if you get them on the right day of the week and order small amounts.
