Delicious lunch in a lovely garden with a great view. Service is superb: extremely helpful and friendly staff. Not the poshest place in the Cilterns, good country pub. Thoroughly recommend a visit.

Been going here on and off over 60 years overlooking the valley where i spent my childhood. Lovely old tradition English country pub. Excellent food, service, staff are perfect for this type of eatery

Lovely views in the garden, only came here for a drink, so I don't know what the food was like

·

Fantastic location with lovely views from the beer garden. Inside is cosy too. Delicious food at reasonable prices and great service. It's our new favourite pub for Sunday lunch. Highly recommended.

·

Enjoyed a hot chocolate in the beer garden. Beautiful views outside and a welcome atmosphere inside. Stall was friendly. Highly recommended.

·

Fantastic food in a very cosy, friendly pub that has a great variety of beer available. A lovely log fire and great views from some of the tables.Slightly slow service but can be forgiven as there didn't seem to be a lot of staff on and the pub was busy (people were sat outside, even in the rain, just to get a seat!)Would really recommend for a cosy, proper pub food place with great beer and friendly staff who do their best for the customers

What an amazing establishment, had no idea what to expect, but wow!! Beautiful building, garden is stunning, food amazing and to top it off the staff were second to none. Well done..

I love the location and atmosphere of this pub. But a Ploughmans for £12 is steep, and when it only consists of 2 smallish lumps of cheese and a small wedge of pork pie, then it's not value at all IMO. No salad of any description (they described it as 'traditional' which I guess is a justification to that point), and I had to ask for more bread as it was too small slithers.Take a look at my review of the Bell Inn at Aldsworth to see how a Ploughamns shoukld be done (and for 2/3 the price)

Small, cozy & isolated pub, with amazing views over the Chilterns from the beer garden. I can't comment on the food as this was our "sundowner" for a cold drink at the end of a long walk. Friendly bar staff and well organised, with a laid back feel.

Lovely discovery down a single track road off the Henley road. Very accommodating, fitted us in at lunchtime, a table in the garden with a great view. Inside are plenty of nooks and side rooms for spacesd out dining. Menu refreshingly varied. Very friendly and prompt service at a busy time.
