Terrible! £18.40 for two small cod and chips? The cod was tiny, cold, full of bones and tasteless. The chips were dripping with grease and soggy. Worst fish and chips I’ve ever had! Was given a small discount plus extra fish cakes and saveloy (which we neither wanted nor ate). We had a couple kilos of inedible food to get rid of. I was the only customer in there at 8pm on Saturday night. I think they overcharge to break even and put off locals who know they’re over priced. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!

On the slightly pricier side, but portions are big and the chips are very tasty. Haddock would have been better but at least the cod was very flaky and piping hot.

Very good fish and chips tried it during a stay in Oxford after reading reviews, lovely fish, tasty and a nice light crispy batter, chips good everything piping hot.

Foods always good always on time and the owner is an absolute legend

@colin smith with his recent review is actually incorrect as a usual customer i see that they actually don’t start putting out fish after 8 except if you wait so you can get freshly cooked fish and as a restaurant worker stock problems isn’t really the shops fault it happens and possibly they ran out if you give patience you will see that if you give them time they will give you exceptionally made food so really they are just trying to help you ! that’s all i had to say i’m giving 5 stars because it’s a very nice shop polite lovely people and great food!

Love this place. Good food. Terrific value. Portions are enormous: Two orders of cod and two of chips was more than my family of six could finish! Staff is courteous, considerate and honest. Can’t wait to order again.

Best fish n chip shop around. Freshly cooked fish to order, well worth the wait and a huge amount of chips in a large portion, enough to feed 4 hungry adults. Staff are amazing. Try them, you won' t be disappointed.
