Sofra Restaurant & Take Away in South Oxfordshire

The food here is just not good and not worth it at all. The rice was cold and bland, it tasted like it was reheated and not fresh at all, everyone else’s food in my party was just okay. There are so many good restaurants near by that are much better. Be aware! Worst food in London. It’s a tourist trap!

Was shopping around Oxford Street area. Decided to have early dinner.This restaurant serves halal meat. We were not welcomed at all. I was waiting at the entrance. The waitresses looked unnothered. Anyway I went in and said do you have a table please. I was seated where I wanted to. The restaurant for some reason did not look clean to me. The mirrored wall is awful.They provided free bread with houmous. The houmous was lovely. We ordered the food and it came within 30mins. The portion size is not has big but the price is very high. The food was decent. My chicken was well made and also the lamb chops.To improve this restaurant I recommend the mirror wall is removed completely. Clean the restaurant and be attentive.

Not a good experience for me. I got a table. Waited patiently for about 10 minutes then had to ask for a Menu. Order came in good time. It was a chicken wrap and chips. Turned up at my table cold. I didnt even eat one chip. I didnt have time to reorder so I just wolfed down the wrap. Got moved off my table before I had finished my drink because they needed my table for a big walk in. They did asl nicely and gave me a free tea, but overall I wouldn't come back.

Visited again and loved the lamb chops this time!Huge menu with a big mix of options ranging from grills, pasta to burgers. Tried the Hunkar Begendi - not the best I've tried but convenient location and easy to find a space even on a Friday night.

Some of the best food we've had in London!No waiting on Sunday evening. Wagyu burger tasty as well as the sautéed spinach with pine nuts.

Lovely restaurant however the food was a let down. For the price I expected nicer food the chicken had absolutely no flavour and tasted undercooked my fries were also cold.My mum got the chicken with rice however the tiny portion of rice was really disappointing. We left still feeling hungry. Would not recommend especially as there so many options in this area.

Friendly service, was able to sit outside under a heater without booking unlike many other places in this area which was handy. Nice looking place in a great location. Food was not great :(

Been here a few times with my bf and we both love it here, best Turkish restaurant I have been to in London, I don't understand the negative reviews, I guess people here don't know good food. One of our favourite drinks here is the homemade lemonade, but unfortunately on our last visit they had changed the recipe for the lemonade and it wasny great, was bitter so we had it exchanged for fresh apple juice and orange juice and it was lovely, but the food was still great like usual. Also accommodating gluten intolerant people, they have great variety on the menu. Definitely recommend this place.

The food was ok, and for the price you pay, you expect a better quality. My kabab came very dry, but the rice was good. The fish and chips was ok too. Th lamb tajin with okra was very good.The tables inside very close to each other and it is very crowded. The restrooms are not clean at all.

I had a breakfast here few days ago and I gotta say it was the worst menemen I had and the bread was not fresh. There were only 3 tables and service wasn't great either. Owner of the restaurant lied to me claiming that bread had been freshly made that morning but I know it was from the day before. Also menemen had no taste whatsoever. I would not recommend this place at all.
